Will it be easy for me to learn Spanish?
I was thinking about learning spanish will it be easier for me to learn it since I'm already fluent in Portuguese (my family is from alot of afriacan countries and they speak portuguese in Angola/ Sao Tome/ Principe /the Cape Verde Islands/ Mozambique) and my boyfriend speaks spanish and portuguese and him said they are alot alike
How close are the two languges?

You’ll get the grammar down pretty quickly, but what’s going to be a pain is the vocab and maybe the pronunciation. There’s a lot of false cognates between the two.

they ARE really similar, they come from the same latin roots. My father speaks portuguese and spanish. i speak spanish and i have noticed how both languages are very similar. it’ll be really easy for u.

In Spanish you say lunes (from Luna, lat. "Moon") in Portuguese its segunda-feira ("second feria")
Gender is also different, Some words are masculine in Spanish, but feminine in Portuguese, or vice versa.
In my opinion, its much easier to communicate vs to actually learn to read and write it between both languages
