Why when I hear people speak Portugese I hear some Spanish words when they talk ?
Im just saying. I heard this girl from portugal at work today speak her Language. She was on the phone so I didnt want to be rude and ask . And I can understand Spanish, I heard some spanish words. Was it me or where those really spanish words ?? Im not portugese so I dont know ?

portugues,french,italian,spanish are all related languages, all part of the romance language branch,,, thats why u hear her say "spanish" words..
its pretty much a no-brainer as to why portuguese has spanish words sound the same, look geographically where Spain and Portugal are…. very obvious..
thanks to Latin this is possible to understand somewhat the languages…

yes I have noticed when a Portuguese person speaks
I can pick out a few words that are similar or the same
as a Spanish word. Also found this in the written sense.
Portuguese does seem rapid.
Cuz they are very similar to each other, as they were both Roman provinces, therefore same basic language, like Italian and french too. Spanish is faster, which makes it very annoying, very fast. portuguese is slower and heavier. Spanish is gross.
