Learn to Speak and Understand Spanish
I'm planning on taking a gap year after I graduate high school to immerse myself in the language in four Spanish speaking countries in Central/South America.
A lot of people have been telling me Peru and Colombia have the "clearest" Spanish, but I still need two more countries

I’m a high school senior, I also am taking a gap year in a Spanish-speaking country, and I’ve already spent time in Latin America.
I seriously want to know what you mean by "pure" Spanish. In every region of every country in the world there is a different dialect of whatever language is spoken. As a student of linguistics, I will say that no version of a language is "more correct" than any other.
What you might want to find out is what form of Spanish will be most easily understood by the people with whom you will most likely be speaking in the future.
My personal opinion is that it doesn’t really matter which country you choose, what matters is in you live in an urban area or a rural one. Rural communities are are more likely to be influenced by the local indigenous language than urban area with a strong connection to the rest of the Spanish-speaking world.

umm i looked, and i found, Argentina, Belize(appearntly),Cuba, Domincan Republic,Guatemala,Mexico…but thats north america, panama, Paraguay,venezuala, uruguay
The purest form of the Spanish language in the entire world is spoken in Castilian region of Spain, especifically in SANTANDER, northern beach resort which beauty is hard to beat. Check http://www.beautifulspain.com
In Latin America go along with Colombia. They have really clear spanish and are also the United States’ closest allies in all of Latin America, the exchange rate is great, and college is cheap. If you decide to learn in Colombia I suggest Medellin. It’s the most amazing place I’ve ever visited in my life and parts of the city are a lot like the U.S. If your looking for Europe then Spain is an obvious choice. Very secure and good education plus friendly people. One last thing… make sure you stay out of dangerous places in Latin America such as Venezuela or Nicaragua, other leftist countries might also be a problem since americans are often accused of being spies so make sure you visit a country with a friendly government. My four choices would be Colombia, Spain, Puerto Rico, and Argentina
yeah, go to colombia good country to learn the language, but don’t marry anyone there. I have a colombian husband and he is real insensitive. Another good country is Costa Rica. I learned spanish there and was fluent in only 3 months!

According to the Real Spanish Academy the best Spanish speaking country is Colombia /specific city Bogota because they still using the pure Spanish but from the information that I got Venezuela and Peru is the best from South America, and, Costa Rica from Central America. The worst is Puerto Rico and Mexico
