What's the difference between Spanish spoken in Spain & in Mexico?
I want to learn Spanish mainly to talk to Mexican people.I was thinking of using Rosetta Stone (which brings me to another question - is Rosetta Stone reliable?) but they only offer Spanish (Spain) & Spanish (Latin America) (question #3 which is closer to Mexican Spanish Latin America, or Spain's spanish?).But the point is, would either of those be efficient for talking to Mexicans? And if so how much?

Spaniards sound as though they have a speech defect, a lisp…thththththth. They say grathias for gracias, Barthelona for Barcelona and Jimeneth for Jimenez.
Both people would understand each other…like Americans and British people.
Well…Im mexican and I have no idea which one i would use. Like a lot of countries in Latin America don’t talk anything like the spanish in Mexico…but neither does the spanish from Spain. Well my suggestions is that you get the one that says Latin America….Best of luck!!!!
oh you would want to go with latin america. latin america version should be a nice neutral south american spanish, it might even include some mexican speakers as models.
however, i might try taking a class at your local community college instead of rosetta stone.
