Let him talk spanish with you, or listen to it when you are with his family, change ur phone and other devices language to spanish, listen to some music in spanish, also spanish movies with english text, then change to english movies with spanish test. It takes a while but you gotta keep trying. Spanish its my first language, then english, then french and right now im struggling with norwegian since its my girlfriend’s first language, Ive been trying for 6 months now and im progressing slow but im progressing.

Hm My First Language is Spanish To I’am from Puerto Rico the best way is to have him speak it to you and just start changing everything you do into spanish. Everything I mean everything it make take you a 1 or longer

The best way would be to live a few months to a year in a Spanish-Speaking country. I think you should seriously consider it, you and your boyfriend could get temporary jobs in that country and live there on a visa for awhile, and you would be able to pick up the language much faster because you would be immersed in it.
