that i can never remember any of the words or what they mean after learning them. i also find it harder to understand it because you have to interpret word for word unless it is your mother tongue.the easiest way is to watch tv in spanish, or watch a movie in english and then in spanish.
learning the many different tenses and the gender of certain things can be a pain in the butt. and the best way to learn spanish is to be around people who speak it.
watch spanish, meet people and talk to them ask questions, read in spanish, get a girfriend spanish speaker.
Take a class in Spanish. That’s what I’m doing.
My problem is rolling my R’s.
Problems:
The sounds of letters L, R, RR, T, Ñ. Also conjugations, because they vary a lot.
Understanding some Spanish dialects bcse ppl speak very fast, change sounds, cut words and use lots of idioms and informal vocabulary.
Als, in order to write right you must study Spelling, there are lots of rules.
The subjunctive. Since the subjunctive tense is not used in English, it’s hard to understand it.
The best way is to hear other people speak it! If you hear something long enought you internalize it and understand it! If you don’t have that luxury take a class that focuses more on communication than grammer. One of the biggest problem with learning languages is that people usually learn it terms of verb rules and conjugation, which does not lend itself very well to actually trying to speak it. How does one learn their mother tounge? By using a text book, memorizing long lists, and doing verb conjugation? No, you learned it by listening to people!.
i think you have to decide what kind of a learner you are. no matter what i’m trying to learn, math or spanish, i am a visual learner. i prefer to read a book so i can see examples, and chat online so i can see what people are saying. others learn better by listening. those people would probably want to either buy a microphone & chat online or get a tutor that immerses them in hearing the language.
no matter what, though, it’s important to study patterns, aka grammar. Once you know how to construct a sentence that, for example, conveys the future, conveys command, conveys obligation, conveys possession, the bulk of your learning is done.
