Total immersion is the best way to learn a language, but I don’t think that’s the answer you’re looking for. The key to learning language from teenage years on is practice and dilligence. The part of our brains that helps us learn language stops developing after age 12, making it much harder for us to grasp and remember the new language.
A great tool to learning is having someone to practice with. That way not only are you remembering vocab and grammar, but also practicing pronunciation, and drilling it into your brain by saying it out loud. When you aren’t using the language, you lose it, so practicing with someone has a lot of advantages. Flashcards are a great way to practice vocabulary, conjugated verbs, etc. If you look around online, you can find some free activities to practice with, or get yourself a book or workbook to do some practice in. There is some great software out there to teach languages also- I recommend Rosetta Stone, but it is expensive. Good luck!
Rosetta Stone Language Program, google it and you can buy it….it will teach you any language
sry, i don’t use yahoo messenger
Go to a spanish speaking place where they do not want to practice their English for a month or two. Full immersion is the best way to go but scary.
Teach English in Mexico or South America. Total Immersion is the fastest and best way.
This is what I did for many years.First buy one of them picture-word books,a dictionary and a Spanish Bible.Start attending a Spanish church.Listen, speak, read and write, constant repetition and never stop. For me it has been a day and night thing for many years and I am getting to be pretty good.I am 69 years old.Don’t waste your money on expensive courses that promise to make you fluent in a few months. It ain’t so.
