Hi, I began with Michel Thomas and progressed very quickly. He has a wonderfully unique way of teaching the language which successfully gives the basics of the language without the worry of remembering grammatical terms etc. Also a good way is to try the free lessons online. Good luck
Take classes
Mexican girlfriend.
The best way is to take a few classes in college. You can take it as an elective. You might even be able to take an online course through a local community college or university, or through the University of Phoenix.
It’s really difficult to teach yourself. I tried it once.
tell me when u find out dude…i wanna learn too .. coz my fav player is spanish…lol
I studied abroad in costa rica for 4 months, it was one of the best decisions of my life, I learned the language really quickly. I lost a lot when I came home, but if you find a friend to speak with, it will help you keep your language fluency. Learning spanish has to be a daily practice, or you will lose it all.
Why not use the Internet?
There are many free websites out there where you can get free Spanish classes:
livemocha, babbel, italki…
I’d recommend you as well:

It’s a blog where you can learn Spanish while having fun: listening to music, watching videos, reading interesting articles, listening to podcasts, … as well as grammar and other learning guides.
