Learn to Speak and Understand Spanish
I'm pretty good with languages. Plus I took Spanish in high school (not so long ago). I just want to learn to speak more fluently. I also DON'T want to pay a fortune to learn it!!! Any advice for me???

Well, actually, I have tried several systems and found them to not be particularly useful. And native speakers tell me that immersion is the easiest way to learn – by spending a month or three in a Latin-speaking country, but since you have had the classes and want to save some money, I would just check your TV and radio channels for Spanish-speaking channels – that way you will hear a variety of speakers speaking at full speed. Also if you listen to the soap operas on Spanish TV, they tend to speak slower and more dramatically, so it is easier to start with. Just listen to the speaker, and try to repeat the phrase. But with soap operas, you are going to learn a lot of dramatic phrases, like "I KNOW you took the baby!" "That was my brother you shot!" "You took my car that evening, and you did not put any gas in it!" LOL

Get a friend to teach you or call a local high school for ESL program and meet ppl there.
