What are some Spanish phrases to know when attending a Catholic Mass in Spanish?
I've just started to attend Mass in Spanish to practice my Spanish! But there are some phrases and customs I don't know...
I already know the Lord's Prayer in Spanish, and que la paz sea contigo, but what other phrases should I know that are common?
Like in English there is a section where the priest lists several things to pray for, and in English we say "Lord hear our prayer". I don't know that in Spanish.

Lord hear our prayer – Escúchanos Señor
Amen – Amén
For the penitential rite, you say:
Yo confieso, ante Dios todopoderoso, y ante ustedes hermanos, que he pecado mucho de pensamiento, palabra, obra y omisión. Por mi culpa, por mi culpa, por mi gran culpa (hitting chest each time). Por eso ruego a Santa María siempre vírgen, a los ángeles, a los santos, y a ustedes hermanos que intercedan por mí ante Dios nuestro Señor.
After the first and second reading, the priest says, "palabra de Dios". you reply with
Te alabamos, Señor.
After the Gospel, when the priest says Esto es palabra del Señor, you say,
Gloria a tí, Señor Jesús.
The eucharistic prayer:
Priest: Que el Señor esté con ustedes // La paz del Señor esté con ustedes
-Y con tu espíritu.
Priest: Levantemos el corazón
-Lo tenemos levantado hacia el Señor.
Priest: Demos gracias a Dios
-Es justo y necesario.
Before communion, the priest says, Este es el Cordero de Dios, que quita los pecados del mundo. Benditos los invitados a la mesa del Señor.
You say, Señor, no soy digno de que entres en mi casa, pero una palabra tuya bastará para sanarme.
When you go for communion, you say Amen before taking the Host in your mouth.
At the very end of the mass, you say Demos gracias al Señor.
I don’t know or attend Spanish Mass, but our parish has bilingual missals. When the priest says "The Lord be with you" and we respond "And also with you", the Spanish response is "Y con tu Espiritu" which is the correct translation from the Latin "Et cum spiritu tuo" which means "And with your Spirit"
