I'm already conversationally fluent, but am looking to become completely fluent. I need to expand my vocabulary and practice other verb tenses, like imperfect and subjunctive. I was looking at different softwares -- mainly Rosetta Stone and Instant Immersion. If anyone has any experience with any programs that have worked, or any other study tips for the Spanish CSETs, that would be great.
I took 2 years of Spanish in high school, and I would like to learn to speak it fluently. I am fixing to graduate high school within the next semester, and I was not able to take another year of Spanish. I already understand basic vocabulary, but I would like to improve on it and really build communication skills. I know a bunch of basic spanish words, such as food items, but I'm really bad at communicating, such as only being able to say Hello, How are You, Where is the bathroom, and Goodbye! If I am going to put a lot of money down on a Spanish speaking software, I want to be able to purchase a high quality program that works well while traveling and will allow me to be able to fully communicate with people in Spanish. I have heard Rosetta Stone and Instant Immersion are not the best software to rely one. What would you recommend? I do plan on speaking Spanish in the future, especially in my career.
I need to strenghten my vocabulary with books that are not so hard to understand - figuratively and literally. Classics are also welcome.
I already have 4 years of spanish in high school and 2 yrs in college. I can understand it and have an excellent vocabulary in it. I am looking to be able to speak it in 4 yrs by the time I graduate from Chiropractors school. With this program is speaking Spanish fluently obtainable?
I understand the grammar and everything but my vocabulary is limited.
I took 4 levels of spanish during high school but that was over a year ago. Im using a CLEP study guide book by REA but the vocabulary seems kind of random...Any advice helps...THANKS!
I am learning Spanish. Tell me web sites where I can find any book in Spanish language to improve my vocabulary.
I have been taking Spanish through a famous teaching system for a month now and I'm doing pretty well, I think, but the problem I have is little opportunity to practice between lessons. When I try to watch TV or listen to radio I'm blown away by the speed and advanced vocabulary and I can't keep up. Can anyone suggest the best things an early beginner can read or watch or listen to in order to help strengthen his skills? Maybe a popular children's website or something?
I've studied Spanish long time ago when I was in high school. I loved it so much. So I'm thinking may be I should start studying it again. I don't remember anything at all, no grammar, no vocabulary , nothing. So what can I possibly do to master it as quickly as possible. I really get bored if I kept studying and didn't get a noteworthy output.
I want to start writing and speaking like a native speaker but I don't know how?!!
Note: I have this audio book + pdf , I listen to the native speaker reading the article while reading from the pdf. But her accent seems very good. I can never be as good as her. Any idea how to improve my accent too (Please don't tell me to talk to native Spanish speakers because I'm not going to be able to do so, It's all self study)
I've been trying to learn vocabulary for years, but no matter how many words I learn, I still can't understand what half the native speakers are saying. There always seems to be an enormous list of words to learn!
I have the Spanish Regents tomorrow and I was wondering: what is the best way to study for a foreign language state exam? Do you just review the vocabulary learned throughout your high school years, and just learn the grammar rules? Know how to conjugate the verbs and stuff like that? Just wondering.
My boyfriend is hispanic and I really want to learn spanish so that he and I can have indepth conversations. While he knows a lot of english sometimes it gets frustrating to try and figure out what he is trying to say. While I have a few books that have helped me with vocabulary I'm still really stumped and want to know if anyone has any suggestions. Maybe new books I could try or some other way I could learn the language quickly?
im really close to becoming fluent in spanish. i almost have it completely down with my vocabulary but i just need to work on my conjugations. whats the difference between those tenses? thanks.
I am trying to get my children to learn spanish we are doing vocabulary but I want to do the whole thing books, movies, workbooks, etc.... Is there any program I can buy to help them learn?
I'm presently learning spanish and can carry on a conversation pretty well. I need to build my vocabulary and I'm currently looking for some books I can buy which might help. Thanks !
I take Spanish in school, but I am having a hard time with it. I heard that Tell me more is good, just not for beginners. I need one that not only deals with vocabulary but sentence structure, conjugations, etc also.
I've got a final for Spanish 3 coming up this week, and apparently its a final that rarely anyone passes. I'm already failing the class, so i NEED to do well on this final to be able to pass the class. I struggle with memorizing vocabulary, verbs, and grammar. basically everything about the class i struggle with. Does anyone have any study tips or pointers to make this easier on me and in result, i actually comprehend the information?
I am looking for stuff that would be good for very young kids with small vocabulary. Kids up to 8 years old. But it would be for an adult who is just now learning Spanish, so it should have some entertainment value to it. It can even be scary, dark, or sick. In fact, I would prefer that, but limited vocabulary is the issue.
one that contains grammar, vocabulary, comprehension and pronunciation, and of course free.
I also want to ask how to get an online friend that might help me improve my spanish as I learn?
I learned Spanish from my Mexican mother and from my high school. Now that I'm in college, I'm kind of embarrassed that people who aren't Hispanic have a greater mastery of the grammar, vocabulary and the subtle nuances of the language, and although they might not be able to carry on a conversation in Spanish as easily as I can, I often find myself being corrected. I was hoping if anyone new of a free and easy way that I could brush up on my skills. Thanks.
