What is the difference between saber and conocer? translators say they both mean "to know", but i know theres a difference. examples would be very helpful. i need to use the verbs in my spanish homework to describe a sporting event.....? Again, examples would be very very helpful.
what are the endings for stem changing verbs in preterit form? please also give me an example! Thanks!
i know it is yo soy then tu' eres then ella and ello' then nosotros and ustedes, ellos and ellas but what verbs go with them? i forgot my spanish book at school and have a quiz tommorow!
I'm not asking about the stem changing verbs, just the verbs that are irregular, such as go verbs and things like that. Also, just for clarification, I'm asking for it in ANY of the conjugations.
For example, I know "ar"
yo-o
tu-as
el,ella,ud-a
nos-amos
ellos,uds-an
Could you give it to me like that for the "er" and "ir" verbs?
Hello,
I was taught in Spanish that the verbs llamar, decir and preguntar need the direct object pronoun IN ADDITION to the direct object. For example: Necesito llamarle al jefe. I need to call (him) the boss.
How do I know what verbs need the direct object pronoun in addition to the direct object?
Thanks!
Which program would I use? I want to have a college level vocabulary in English and Spanish. I noticed that freedictionary.com has audio and yahoo spanish dictionary has audio too. I would like to learn all the words there are in both languages. It seems that people do not understand my words in Spanish so I need to study with audio flashcards. Your help would make me happy. Also many English words are hard to pronunce like ait for example. I also need to study for the sat. Thank you
how do you learn all the verbs then?
What are some things that you did this week? Write 5 complete Spanish sentences describing what you did. Don't forget to conjugate your verbs in the preterite tense! (Use only -ar verbs)
If anyone would help, I would greatly appreciate it. I just really do not know how to do this.
I need help right away please! I can't figure out how to change these verbs to the affirmative tu command, and I can't find them online. Can you please change these for me, and possibly tell me how you did it?
-Hacer
-Preparar
-Poner
-Terminar
Thanks! (:
I know how to do present tense with all the verbs, but what is the best website to learn all the tenses? And I want a website that explains when the different tenses are used, since I don't know what it means if it just says like "past perfect", and then gives the conjugations.
does anything about them change, or are they any different then other regular or stem changing verbs in the present tense?
Or is there anyone out there who is willing to teach me? =)
I already speak Spanish, but my Spanish is more peninsular Spanish. I'm aware that Argentines tend to conjugate their verbs differently, and use voseo instead of the tú form.
Which verbs almost always, or commonly, use the imperfect tense? And, how do you conjugate ir in the present (or past; either or) progressive?
For example: nacer and tener (I believe - when talking about birthdays; don't take my word for it) use the imperfect tense more often than the preterite.
Thanks in advance.
Guys... thanks SO much. I already knew how to conjugate it... but thanks anyway - all of you!

My dogs name was Buddy and my cats name was Sammie. They are both dead now.
Then we moved to West Chester. I made a lot of new friends here. I went to Adena Elementary.
My football team was the Tomahawks and my basketball team was the T-Birds.
The reason I was unable to translate these myself was because I don't know wether to use the imperfect or the preterite for the verbs. If anyone knows how that would be great! Thanks in advance (:
