Should I take my major English or Spanish?
I'm studying french literature at university and i speak english well . I want to take another major so it is better to be Spanish or English.
I have taken many courses in translation from French into English. I want to be a translator in one of these international organizations.
so, I am confused , should i continue in English or should I take a new language

I asked this yesterday during the yahoo freeze, so I'll ask it again:

I work at an organization that offers clothes, food and education assistance to those who need it. Probably 95% of people I deal with daily are spanish. I have a translator that stays with me, but often times I think it would be easier if I just knew a little spanish to help other people or to help myself when my translator is not with me. I don't want to spend alot of money. Any suggestions?

I am already learning Spanish. I want to be a interpreter or a translator, and I want to be fluent in at least 2 other languages:English,Spanish,etc.etc. I am thinking about learning Hindi or Thai or Hebrew or something really foreign. Can anyone help me?

I have to taken two years of spanish in school and I know the basics. I have been teaching my self through songs that have english and spanish versions. I listen to the song while looking at the lyrics in spanish and english and use a translator. This is helping me learn some new words and sentence structure. Is this a normal way to learn? Are there any downsides to learning this way?

Hello first of all use a translator if I write something wrong apology
I wanted to know if they like the Spanish, as you can see that language as it sounds, that language seems to Italian, French .......
I have curiosity, for us English is a language is very beautiful and very fashionable in our society.

I ask about Mexicans, and wonder why they don't learn the language at least before illegally immigrating to our country.

It never fails that someone asks "Why don't you learn Spanish before you go to Mexico?"...

The argument always ends when I reply with "I did."

And I would learn any language (enough to communicate) before I went to that country, or at least get a translator. I think it's very rude, just like I do about the illegal Mexicans.

Should it be against the law to speak spanish in public unless the speakers offer a translator to non Spanish speakers ?

Im trying to find the anwser to some spanish work i have to complete. If you can try to not use a translator that would be good because most translator do word per word and get it wrong alot because some words in the sentence make other words different and more =P Thanks
