how to learn spanish quickly and fluently?

spanish is my major. i want to teach it, but i don't feel that i am getting enough out of my spanish classes at my junior college and next semmester i transfer to my four year college and i am really worried that i am not ready for it! i am doing some online spanish programs and i watch at least 30 minutes of spanish tv shows a day.

how long does it talk to be able to communicate in spanish?

how long do I need to be able to communicate in spanish once I start spanish classes?
known that I'm fluent in french and so understand like 40% of spoken spanish.
also,what to do to help me learn it faster???
r there any online websites that can help?

Best way to learn Spanish online or by book?

I'm doing a major project (as in if i fail, i don't graduate).
I've got a few months to complete it, and i've taken three spanish classes and am in the process of taking a fourth. i also want to do some good studying at home, from a book or online. Any suggestions to good ways that aren't very costly?
