Can i take for example elementary spanish 1 and elementary spanish 2 on the same semester?
I'm taking Spanish 2 right now during the summer to get ahead, but I'm afraid that I may not have learned enough to make it in Spanish 3. I wanted to know what you guys thought were the most important things to learn in Spanish 2.
Hello!
I will be taking my exam (IB Year 2 Ab Initio Spanish = 2 Years of Spanish at a beginner level) this May and I am kinda stressed - our teacher has not really taught us a lot
I am trying to find something on the internet which would have basic vocabulary words arranged in topics (school, jobs, a city, eating, etc) so that I could test myself/ study. Any suggestions/ past experience/ useful tips?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you!
I have a spanish presentation on monday for spanish 2 and I just need some simple sentences of thing that I used to do or still am in preterite or imperfect. you can say it in English I can translate. I ran out of ideas.
i want to learn spanish, because me and my friends are gunna speak spanish 2 each other , n im white so i dont know spanish lol so can you give me a website or something that teaches spanish fast and easy?
I'm a good student in all my other subjects, getting consistent As and A+s in my other classes but I can never get anything higher than a B in spanish and its pissing me off because it pulls my GPA down so much! I am in Spanish 2 right now and have had difficulty all year long since my teacher last year taught us nothing, in fact we are supposed to finish 10 chapters in Spanish every year and we only finished 5 with her. Most of the people in my class that had my same teacher last year are struggling just as much. I really want to boost my B to a B+ or an A- with the few weeks left of school, an study suggestions?
So I'm taking a BYU 1st year Spanish course (people say it's bad cause you need to learn how to pronounce the words, but they come with CD's that help you along..) and I'm kind of concerned about my final exam..
Through out the whole course, they would always include words in a sentence or phrase that I didn't know (they never taught it). They would show me the translation, but there's always things like that where they just assume that we know something.
Any ways, to get to my question, has anyone ever taken this? And if so, was the final exam that way?
Just an edit, from the first answer..
I couldn't take a class from teachers. We have a small school, and there was a required class I needed during the Spanish1 hr. And since they had Spn1, they're only going to have Spanish 2 next year, my senior year, so if you can understand why I had to take a BYU course.
I'm in Spanish 2, but my school has this thing where if you take the next exam for the next level of the foreign language (spring exam, not winter), you can skip a level. Like I'm trying to skip to Spanish 4 for next year instead of going on to Spanish 3.
I know it's not a good idea to skip a whole year of a language, but I'm already in French 4 this year and I'll be a senior next year and I really want to take Spanish 4.
The problem is, I think it'll be really hard because the head of the Spanish department at my school told me that in the 18 years she's been teaching here, only 2 kids have successfully skipped from Spanish 2 to Spanish 4 and they were both native Spanish speakers. But I think with enough hard work and determination and my talent for languages, I can do it.
I have the textbook they use (it's called Realidades) and I'm getting the workbook that goes along with it this week.
Any advice to help me prepare for the exam in the spring?
I'm a high schooler, btw...
Yo quiero hablar en espanol! I had a pretty good spanish teacher for Spanish 1 but now that i'm in Spanish 2, I don't learn ANYTHING! I have always wanted to learn to speak spanish and be fluent in the language even going as far as trying to watch the novellas and finds children's books in spanish then gradually work my way up. However, i can't find any books and i only pick up a few words in the novellas, just enough to understand the BARE minimum of what they're saying. I have some friends that claim to be proficient in Spanish, however even after my persistent askig to talk around me, they state that "They don't like to speak Spanish" or that " It just doesn't feel right" -_- are you serious? I REALLY need to catch up on my Spanish this summer so PLEEASE help me and give me some advice on what to do. NO online classes or anything like that(only exception= MAYBE summer classes if mom permits). I WANT QUALITY ANSWERS from people who know what they're talking about!!!!! how do i extend time on a question too?
Is there any way to respond to respond to an answer? Johnny entiendo su mensaje. no soy estúpido, acabo de menores y no considerar el tipo de comentario al corazón. Mi país faltarle el, no respeto que. Mango: I WILL LEARN SPANISH, Usted no me digas lo que puede y no puede! GANESHA MOHAN WTF, WAS I ASKING FOR THAT? MOFO NOOOOOOOOOOO GET THE F#c* out TONTO! -_-

I may be going to Barcelona in a few months time and there are some sentences I'd like to learn in Spanish before I go.
1. I'm sorry, I only speak a little Spanish.
2. Do you speak English?
3. Your country is beautiful.
4. My name is...
5. Excuse me!
My brother told me a friend of his learned spanish by a language swap website. You teach someone English and they teach you their language. I need to learn spanish quickly. I need to graduate ASAP and foreign language is all I need. I'm in Spanish 2 right now but anyone that is in or graduated college knows that you are at the mercy of when classes are offered. I would like for my stepfather to see me graduate. He has advanced prostate cancer at a young age and he has supported me financially and emotionally through finishing college. I owe it to him to learn soon and CLEP out. I have a clep book and have fallen asleep in it as well. It doesn't make good pillow. I am in search of a real person to teach me quickly.
I am taking Spanish 2 and failing it. I am passing all my A.P. classes though. There is a month to the final and I have no idea what to do. HELP???
I am really interested in a many countries and cultures. I want to study all of them. I want to study Spanish, Italian, and French. I am currently taking Spanish. I don't know that much though. I'm only in Spanish 2. I want to study all of these languages in college. Is that crazy? What could I do knowing with all those languages under my belt? I want to go in to Communications, Public Relations, Broadcast Journalism, and possibly theater. Is this completely crazy?
Soooo, i'm in highschool, and im in spanish 2, but my teacher is a little off topic, so im having trouble learning spanish, which is somthin i reeeeeeally want to learn, i heard about rosetta stone, but its kindof costly, and such, sooo any tips/tricks/help?
I am in spanish 2 this year, and i feel like i have learned nothing. I'm not very good at spanish as it is. I find it to be a really interesting language, and i'd like to become fluent in it. But my teacher is teaching me nothing. Some help?
What are some common phrases that you would say in a Spanish speaking country?
i.e. Es un muy buen día hoy. (It's a very nice day out today.)
I'm trying to learn more spanish and I figured I should start with the basics. I'm in Spanish 2 at school so I already know like Como estas? and all of that easy stuff. Any fluent Spanish speakers willing to help me out? Gracias!
I'm working on a timeline in Spanish 2, and we have to use the preterite forms of verbs to write each event. Can you guys help me translate these two events?
1. Obama became president. (I tried using Google Translate, and I got "Obama llegó a la presidencia" but I'm not sure, is it right?)
2. Terrorists attacked the Twin Towers in New York
Please help, thanks!
Hi, as stated in the title I need help finding a song to sing to in my Spanish 2 class (I know it sucks) and since I rarely hear Spanish songs it's gonna be pretty tough to find a good one.
Requirements: It would be great if it had 2 male voices (a duo) since I have a partner in this, well that's about it. Thanks!
Before you go.. I have read quite a bit about language schools in spain. I can estimate the price and what to expect as a return. I have taken 2 semester of spanish 2 years ago, so I know little about spanish. Here are my questions:
1.I was planing to go Barcelona, but after I heard about their catalan spanish thing I am little hesitated now. Does Barcelona good place to learn spanish or should I choose somewhere else. (I have been in Madrid, I do not want to go there). Can valencia could be a good choice?
2. I am planing to stay there 4-6 months.. Does this duration time help me to speak spanish well(I am a quick learner and this will be my third language..I learn English 2 years ago. )
3. Again, Should I go to universities or comm college kind of place's language department or should I choose to go schools which designed only for language purpose.
4.In general, does 5000 Euro would be enough to have or should I have some more...(Include everything..4-6 months)
Thanks,
Unfortunately, as a freshman in high school I did not take Spanish. However this year as a sophomore I took Spanish one due to the fact that I feel when I am out of high school my career choice may require me being fluent in Spanish. I am wondering if I can get caught up and ahead of the game by taking Spanish courses in the summer. I would finish Spanish 1 this year, then take Spanish 2 over the summer, Spanish 3 next year, as a junior, then over the summer Spanish 4. Then my senior year I will take AP Spanish. Hopefully I will be very comfortable with the language by then.
Has anyone ever done something similar to this, that can help me out? How much do the courses cost, how much of your day does the class take up, ext. Thanks.
I am a sophomore this year and i am doing spanish 2 Honors.. i want to do spanish 4 Honors next year so I can do AP Spanish senior year..... So are there any good spanish 3 Honors courses in Connecticut??

they threw me in spanish 3 and i can speak a little bit, but i don't know how to write a single word. i asked to change but they only put me in spanish 2 and it's still hard.
