Hello all,
I am taking AP Spanish Language 4 this year, and wanted to get an idea of how hard it is. I am not a native speaker, but have received an "A" semester in Spanish 1-3. I am confident with reading and writing/grammar, but not as much with speaking. Based off of this, how hard do you think the course and AP test will be?
Thanks!
Or does the old, "When in Rome, do as the Romans do" apply more? Shouldn't these immigrants learn english and not come to a country illegally and expect everyone to speak to them in their native language instead of bothering to learn the native language of the country that they have immigrated into?
This is not a lie lol. Go look it up on You Tube and watch the video where Obama makes that exact statement.
I'm doing a study guide (it doesn't have to be turned in and isn't worth anything), and I get most everything except for these 3 problems:
1) Is this sentence correct?
A Juan le gusta ir de vacaciones.
A) correct
B) not correct
2) Is this sentence correct?
Los padres dejaron los ninos en el hotel.
A) correct
B) incorrect
Does this sentence need the personal "A"; if not, why?
3) Translate from English to Spanish:
"I feed my cat early."
A) Doy de comer a mi gato temprano.
B) Doy de comer mi gato temprano.
What do you think? Could you please explain?
Sorry, I forgot, but there is a tilde over the "n" in "ninos" for number 2. I just don't know how to type it in on the computer and forgot to mention it.
I need 3 "I give..." sentences for a Spanish project.
For example, I give good advice...Doy el consejo bueno, I can't use that one though.
And I need the translations too.
Thanks for the time =]
I wanna learn a language, I already know some Spanish and it is pretty easy for me. But I wanna learn a language where I won't get heat for being a "gringo" and speaking a certain language. I think that, for me anyway, Spanish so far compared to Italian or German is easiest for me. I haven't decided which one's easier between Italian and German, though. Some things I can't pronounce in German, and it kinda frustrates me. But, I don't know which is easier to me: Romance languages (Spanish or Italian specifically) or German. I also don't wanna get people to laugh at me because I'm a gringo and am speaking their language. Really, though, if they don't like it they can go back TO THEIR COUNTRY. Also, I'm sick of people thinking I wanna be Mexican because I wanna learn Spanish.
Besides, I'm just learning the language to impress their women. haha Honestly. I mean, I don't get heat all the time from Hispanics because I speak some Spanish. One Mexican dude actually told me some Mexican women like white boys that speak Spanish. haha
LitMit: Don't ever comment on any of my stuff again, racist.
How would you say these phrases in spanish?
"I want this shirt, those glasses, and those sheets over there"
"I don't want to do anything either"
I already know the endings of the -ir/-er/-ar verbs but I have no idea how to use the verbs and when D: Help? Finals are next week so I need to know this(:
So it's like, "Yo estaba caminando cuando yo me cai (I can't accent the "i") y me rompi la pierna?
i am not that good in spanish and i'm suppose to turn in this project monday. i want to make sure the "acentos" are there and spelling is right. oh and if u know how to convert Microsoft Word's dictionary from english to spanish so i can use that instead of the online spell check can u tell me how please!! thanks!!
Hey, I'm in AP Spanish and understand all the most common grammar concepts and can talk and write Spanish pretty decently. However, I'm having a hard time understanding the "Listening" section on our tests where we have to listen to people speak in Spanish and answer questions about it. Does anyone have tips to understanding the spoken language?
Thanks in advance.
Also any suggestions on how to trill the double "R" words?
Sometimes I see imperative verbs end in ''e" and sometimes they end in "a". What is the difference. can someone please tell me the rules. Like would you say Aprende! or Aprenda!
thank you
I don't know if you have read it but its called "The Unwanted" a very sad, memoir from a Vietnamese boy in the search for escaping his communist country. An-e-way, the thing is that i want to know where I can find books that are also translated into other languages like spanish, I know books and borders might but I'm not sure any suggestions???
I've noticed that more Europeans learn French and Italian, but I've seen less French and Italian people who learn Spanish. Is it because Spain still has a king? I mean, Spain's by those countries, so why not learn Spanish? Is Spanish the "uncool" European language now?
I have to take two semesters of foreign language to earn my degree. Spanish seems to fit best in my schedule - I have a REALLY hard time rolling my "R" and just understanding the language. Can someone suggest a program that could help me learn to pronounce right and get a head start before next semester comes?
Hey guys, I need to make a study guide for my spanish class, but I'm totally stuck. All I need to do is write 10 "eighth grade level" sentences in spanish, and 8 sentences using the spanish adjectives: intelectual, bajo, alto, atletico, guapo, perezoso, aburrido, activo, antipatico, intelegente, simpatico, tonto, trabajador.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you (:
I'm trying to find a couple Spanish language internet radios stations that I can listen to through itunes. I've looked in the "International" and "News/Talk" sections, but all I found were Spanish music stations. I'm looking for a station that is more news or talk oriented.
Can anyone find a link that I can download for itunes? I'm interested in Latin American Spanish because it's closer to the U.S.
¿Cuál es el deporte favorito en España?
¿Qué es una "guagua" en Cuba?
¿Qué tienen las piñatas en México?
Thanks!

Sorry, please include after 'Hindi' ---"Bengali, French and Italian".
Tks!
First, about 95% of ppl can't understand what they're saying and promos get worse when they speak language that no one can understand
Second, "If you don't like it, then learn Spanish". Why the fuck do I have to learn Spanish to watch an AMERICAN WRESTLING SHOW? They the one who should speak English.
Who agrees with me?
It is a dell laptop running Vista. I do not know to much about this to provide more information than this. It has done it while recording through PowerPoint, on Voice Recorder, and through my online spanish HW. It is not the headphones, I tested them on another computer and they worked fine. It also does it when I use the "built in" microphone.
I took Spanish in college, but hit a roadblock on this, so my "but" and "dog" sounded exactly alike. Is there a trick to doing this?
I'm planning on taking a gap year after I graduate high school to immerse myself in the language in four Spanish speaking countries in Central/South America.
A lot of people have been telling me Peru and Colombia have the "clearest" Spanish, but I still need two more countries
Thanks!
"That's what we want."
and
"And that's correct."
1.) Nos subimos al tren largo
Al tren largo nos subimos
2.) Ni las rocas ni el polvo no LOS puede morder
No LOS puede morder ni las rocas ni el polvo
*also do you need the "los" that is capitalized above?
PLEASE AND THANK U
I have to make a board game. I was just going to write questions on reflexive verbs and then make a pathway from start to finish. Anyone got any better ideas? I just want to make it more interesting. If you have any good ideas for the rules of the game?
reflexive verbs are like acostarse (to go to bed) --> they end in "se"
Some verbs in Spanish have a "Se" in the end... what's it's job??
like Cruzar/cruzarse... Do they have the same meaning?
This is what I need to say this: "I've been doing good, busy with films. The weather been hot out in Redondo Beach but it's way better than the Las Vegas desert. I like your photo. You should come out to Hollywood and be an actress!"
Ha ha, thanks, people. Obviously I couldn't use the online translator cuz of my English slang but I'll Best Answer whoever the most accurate.
