I'm half Hispanic and half Caucasian, and for some reason I feel like it's my responsibility to learn the language since I have the blood in me. (Not to mention here in the U.S. it's a dominant, beautiful language) But I have two questions:
One, where can I learn Spanish? Like, where can I get free complete lessons online? No Rosetta Stone, for I hear that it's fake and just waste of money.
And two, what if I marry a white male in my future? Will it be wrong to make my children learn Spanish as a first language, or will it be harder for them in their future?
I did Spanish in high school, but don't really remember any. I need to learn a basic level of Spanish for my job. What would be the best way to learn, without spending a lot of money?
I am enrolling in the fall semester at my local community college and I would like to learn Spanish. So would it be better to sign up for Spanish 1? Or use a Spanish computer program such as Rosetta Stone? I would like to save money but at the same time I would like to learn a 2nd language. I took French in High School and I somewhat regret that lol
Any suggestions welcomed and best answer gets points, thanks.
I mean don't we speak English in this country. I mean why can't they learn the language, why must we adapt for them. We didn't do it for anyone else? Plus are schools are starpped for cash as it is, and all these resources going for spanish textbooks, is money that can be spent for education in teachers and quality standards.
I want to be able to speak fluent spanish and wanted to know the best way to do this. I was thinking of trying Rosetta Stone's level 1 for spanish but I have my doubts that I will really be able to speak it fluently from it, plus it's a bit pricey. What is the most effective way to learn spanish and has anyone ever tried Rosetta Stone? Do they really have a money-back guarantee?
I'm a 16 year old girl and I'm really interested in Spanish yet I am not taught it in school and I do not have any Spanish speaking friends. As I am 16, I do not have the kind of money to but software such as Rosetta Stone. Is there any website where I can learn Spanish but without any charges?
I live in England
I want to be somewhere gorgeous with hiking and views and a relaxing vibe, and study Chinese more-or-less full time.
I need to escape the stresses of my work. I am burnt out. Gasping for breath.
I have one month, maybe more.
I am thinking of Lijiang, because it sounds like a beautiful place with a relaxed atmosphere. I found one school there, Shangri-La Learning Centre (slcchina.com) but I can't find any opinions on it.
I know basically no Chinese -- I need to start right at a beginner level.
When I lived in Guatemala I was once able to study Spanish in a relaxed little town on the edge of Lake Atitlan, an amazing, inspiring lake surrounded by volcanoes, and would like to find something along that lines in China. I don't want to stay in a 4-star hotel and spend a lot of money -- I much prefer backpacker trails and cheap eats and adventures galore.I'm 24, and wouldn't mind meeting other young people along the way.
Thanks in advance,

I will leave for england next year..............

I’ve earned some money and want to spend it travelling, but I’ve thought it would be a good idea to take advantage of it and improve my language skills. I’d like to get better in Spanish or German (Spanish first!) but I don’t know any good school offering this kind of program. What I would really like to do is visit several cities in the country spending some time on Spanish lessons… does something like this even exist?? I’d rather do it in Spain. Help please!
Rosetta Stone is way to expensive is there a cheap but good way to learn another language that is fairly easy and doesn't cost a lot of money?
I am going to college next year majoring in international business and minor in spanish. I suck at learning languages as I did in HS, and want a jump start before stepping in the classroom to learn the language, any suggestions that dont cost money?
I need to take a self-paced Spanish I course online for HONORS high school credit. None of the standard universities with online high schools offer such a course (that can be started this late in the year). I really need to find one ASAP that is good and it must, must be accredited. Please give me tangible links to sites of real universities. Money is not a problem.
Hey, so i got money for an early Christmas present and i was wondering if I should buy a Spanish learning CD. It's 40 dollars but according to my mom it's a pretty good company. it's something like Belkin, idk but it's something like that.
I don't have a lot of Spanish speaking friends but hey it wouldn't hurt to learn. I'm 16yo and I think it would be great to know a 2nd language. And i'm also home schooled so I have all the time in the world to learn.I only have 60 dollors so i would be left with 20.
Do you think this would be a smart investment or not?
thanks for your answers
I am going to Peru in June and I need to learn some Spanish! I have very little money to spend, because it is all going to my trip! How can I learn Spanish fast with little to no money!
I need to speak Spanish for work, and don't have time or money for more college courses. Rosetta Stone is unbelievably repetitive and I may die of old age before achieving any fluency. Is there a faster alternative?
¡Hola!
I'm 15 years old, and I'm from Florida, USA. I'm a freshmen and going to be a sophomore. My GPA is 3.97 and I take Spanish I. I'd like to take a course in Spain over the summer that will give me a one years credit of Spanish II that way for my Sophomore year I can take Spanish III, and French I. I love learning new languages. This is something I wanna do. Money isn't an issue. I've got parental permission and blessing. I just need to find the right program. I want to go to Madrid, and get my Spanish II credit and learn as much as possible over the summer. Obviously I would be staying in a dorm? or what? What's a great program for highschoolers? I'm thinking about Enforex... what do you think about that. Also, I like to be in the city- and I play alot of tennis, so if there are any schools where I can play tennis (on the side and not necessarily required, just a "what if") wheres the best place? educational wise, luxury wise? safe wise? everything. Thanks so much. Muchas gracias. ¡Ustedes son magnífico!
I am currently enrolled in a summer travel excursion to Costa Rica to study Spanish. The program cost is about 00 but does not include airfare, tuition, personal expenses, etc. I have looked at some language schools in Costa Rica and they run about 0 a week. (0 X 4 weeks = 1400 + 0 for airfare = 00). I know that the group program includes some transportation and some entertainment but 00 is a big difference in cost no to mention that I would have to pay about 00 in college tuition for credits earned.
I would like to know information on how easy it is to travel in Costa Rica alone or with one other person without being fluent in Spanish. Would it better for me to stay with the group and spend the dough or save money and make the trip myself?
I am told by almost all of my professors that being able to speak a foreign language, especially Spanish in some areas, will help put me above my competition. I was wondering if anybody has any experience with this issue and if this is true or not before I pay money to learn Spanish. Thanks in advance!
A minor in Spanish is too late at this point
I'm looking to re-teach myself the Spanish I lost since high school. I'm a grad student, so I don't have a lot of money. I'd like to not spend more than 0, and I would like to use audio lessons, since that is most convenient for me (I pretty much live in my car). My cap is 0, but that means I can't pay more than 0 AFTER taxes, shipping, fees, etc.
I want to learn how to speak / write Spanish. Where (which websites) can I learn Spanish for free??
When I google it, most of the sites ask to pay money.
With little money to spare; and few people to speak spanish too.
I'd like to learn fluent spanish, how can I teach myself it?
I want to learn to speak Spanish or at least understand it a little. I don't have money for lessons or anything like that. So I'm wondering could I teach myself by listening to Spanish music or maybe even watching movies with Spanish subtitles.
I've always heard of Rosetta Stone for learning spanish, but what other recommendations do you have? Is Rosetta Stone really worth the money, or is there a cheaper option? What about the learning spanish while you drive CDs - can you actually learn that way?

I've learned English as a foreign language, and kind of mastered at it. I need to learn Spanish, and it's relatively urgent! Clearly, I don't want to spend money, I don't need to become master!
So anyone knows some free book, audios and other useful things around the web?
I'm trying to learn Spanish, but have so far failed. I am looking for a language learning software that is easy to understand, is effective, teaches pronunciation, and teaches you how to read write. I've seen customer reviews for Rosseta Stone and Pimsleur and i'm not sure if those two would be good, or worth the money. I also understand that learning a language takes time and patience and not from just computer programs, but i'm desperate for an effective program. I do know some of the baisics but need a lot more practice and learning. Please help!
I'd like an online program that is easy to understand. A free one would be best but if you know a really good one that costs money, please share! Thank you!
Im english and my boyfriend speaks spanish as well as english but i would like to learn it so i can talk with him in his other language. so what are the best materials out there... something that is easy to understand, and that is available in the uk or can order from the usa to the uk?

I am gonna graduate from high school next month and I took Spanish as a freshmen and I didn't learn a thing. All I know is the numbers 1-100. Since I got discouraged with Spanish I switched to French and the same story. I actually wanted to learn French but I don't know, maybe I am just language impaired. But I REALLY want to learn German and Italian. Either one first. What do you think is the best approach for me? I don't have the money to spend time in Germany or Italy. Do you think I should try the computer program Berlitz German Premier or use Pimsleur CDs and books, or take a class. I do have somewhat of a stutter problem so maybe thats why I didn't learn Spanish or French, maybe I concentrated more on having fluent speech than the target language. You are more than welcome to send me a message if you have any questions.
