One more question after this and I'm DONE!

Juan and Pati get a divorce. While Pati was directing one of her shows, she got into an argument with one of her student, who turned out to be a serial killer and poisoned her. While on his way to Pati’s funeral from Mexico, Juan’s plane crashes.

Sorry, and thank you again!

in the episode when they go to mexico bam challenges vito to learn 10 spanish sentences if he can he gets bams hummer does vito get it?

I am taking a spanish class and learning very little. I go to mexico once a year on a cuise and would like to learn so I can communicate better not only in the country but also with my friends. Please help.

It seems that languages other than Spanish are the first to be cut in American secondary schools. ALL languages are important!
Mexico may be our neighbor, but what about Quebec? Furthermore, many African nations are also French-speaking, and then there's the Caribbean country of Haiti. How can high schools who claim in there mission statements to prepare students for a "global society" when they limit them to Spanish?

In high school I (for some reason unknown to me now) too Latin as my foreign language...I wish that I had taken Spanish. My soon to be husband is Mexican and in 6 months we're moving to Mexico. He has taught me a few words/phrases, but I still pretty much know nothing. I've never met his family before and I want to be able to communicate with them right from the start.

I can't really afford to take a class, so what would you suggest? Also, I'm having trouble rolling my "r"s...my fiance tried to explain to me how to do it, but I just can't get it. I've looked on yahoo!answers for suggestions, but none of them helped but I thought I would ask again. Thank you!

I have tried Coffeebreak Spanish and I liked the format but it is based on Spanish used in Spain, I would like something more for Mexico. Any help?

I've been dating a Mexican guy for almost two years. I'm learning a lot just by being around him and his family and being able to ask questions. I'm still not "fluent" though. I'd like to be able to talk with his extended family when I finally get to meet them (they live in Mexico).

I've heard that actually being around Spanish-speaking people and talking in Spanish as much as possible is the best way to learn. Is there anything else that will help me learn more quickly?

After all they came HERE we didn't go there.
Management at my fathers company recently informed there Bosses that if they wanted to advance within the company they would be required to learn Spanish. One man stood up and asked Why can't THEY learn English?.
WHY should US Citizens be forced to learn Spanish? Last time I checked we didn't go to Mexico to steal Jobs and I'm sure if we did they wouldn't be learning English to accomidate us.

I'm American, and I personally know at least 5 people who've studied abroad in your country; it's an extremely popular destination!
I understand that many of them studied Spanish language in high school or college, and that's what makes it so interesting, but why Spain (instead of say, Mexico)?

He is Indian but he doesn't speak Spanish but he was born in Mexico. Is he still defined as a Latino?
Indian as in Indian from India.

How about if I sued Mexico when the Federalis tried to catch me?

My friend is from Mexico and we are helping each other learn. I have to find materials in Spanish to practice at an advanced level. I'm having a hard time finding stuff on the internet for higher levels. I am looking for things like conversation topics, intermediate level grammar, pronunciation, ... anything higher level.

Does anyone have any good resource links to offer?

I know that the standard dialect of French is that of France, so it only makes sense that Americans choose to learn it from them. But they learn the Spanish spoken in Mexico, at least the one taught in schools. Why not from Spain? I know that Mexico is closer, but so is Canada, and Americans don't learn Canadian French.

MY brother in law was transferred to Mexico on business and my niece was just learning to talk. The TV shows was in Spanish and as my sister tried to learn spanish with her record on my niece learned it really fast and later when they went she was speaking spanish like a native. Which helped her throughout her life. Shouldn't we be teaching our babies two languages from child birth on?

I was scanning around on my shortwave radio and I came across a station on 5898khz that was just blurting out random numbers in Spanish. The transmission lasted about an hour and then the station disappeared. Why would a radio station just blurt out random numbers? What is the point of it? I am assuming since it was in Spanish that maybe I was picking up a station from Mexico or South America. Has anyone else heard this mysterious transmission on shortwave?

Why do the American's have to learn to speak Spanish when English is our actuale language. The people from Mexico are the ones that should be learning our language. ENGLISH!!!!!

Don't say it's the melting pot and anybody can speak whatever they can. If I, a south asian, goes to Mexico, and I speak my native tougue....they would look at me like crazy......how come they can't learn to be more tolerate like Americans?
If they do, why do many Mexican new students act like they can't speak English?

I'm currently learning Spanish in college and am at the intermediate level. I'm really intrigued by both Mexico and Puerto Rico because of their nearness to the US. I would like to study abroad in one of the two countries in about a year and a half. If you could give me your opinion from personal experiences while still taking financial aspects in account, I would be very grateful. Thank you.

You get Mexicans who've been in the US for several generations, do they still speak Spanish? Many are in Mexico. People like Robert Rodriguez and Eva Longoria have roots in the US for ages, do they still speak Spanish??

Why do Mexicans not lose their language, while all the Germans, Irish, Italians etc cannot speak those languages in the US?

I already know a little bit about spanish (just basic Spanish 1 stuff), but I really want to get serious about learning a foreign language.

Do you think spending 2-3 months in a foreign country like mexico would help me learn the language? (not to be proficient, but good enough to hold a regular conversation with someone about things). I don't just mean stuff like "hi...what's up?" I mean stuff like, "I used to live in Colorado. It was really pretty there. The mountains are gorgeous, and the people are nice too. When I was 8, I moved to Georgia to be with my Aunt and Uncle Burns, and I've lived there ever since."

Anyway...so basically my question is just, how long will I need to immerse myself in a foreign country to learn Spanish?
vocabulary-wise, I'd like to know about as much as a 7-year-old

I think if the Mexicans are going to come over here they need to learn English, we shouldn't have to learn their language. When we go over to Mexico, they don't have to learn our langauge.

I am a Mexican American and I speak both fluent English and spanish from Mexico. I asked one friend and she said that sometimes it sounds like people who speak spanish sound like they're making fun of you in a joking way. She also said that those who speak it very fluently sound like they're trying to seduce you. Another girl says it sounds sexy when people roll their r's. Do u agree? What's your opinion? I agree with the first statement!

I took a spanish class but when I went to Mexico i learned that the class didn't do any good for me. We just wrote alot and I need to hear it over and over again for me to remember. I'm just looking for something the lets you hear it and it's free. Are there any?

I have been debating for quite some time whether or not to go to Mexico or Peru to study Spanish this summer. I haven't found any other countries because I haven't found anything as good cost wise. For Mexico, my options are Merida, Puerto Vallarta, and Guadalajara. Many have said Guadalajara, but the city just doesn't seem appealing. I'm leaning more towards Puerto Vallarta or Merida because I have never been to a real beach. Cusco, Peru is also an option. I think I would like Puerto, Merida or Cusco more because they just seem to have more attractions to enjoy. I really want to enjoy myself for the weeks I am there. I am worried that Merida, Puerto Vallarta and Cusco are going to be big tourist attractions though. Any suggestions or any other cost efficient programs would be amazing. I am open to other countries if the overall cost is less than 00. I plan on doing 3-5 weeks. Please take in mind where I would learn more Spanish and just have an overall more enjoyable experience. Home-stay is the only option I have in mind too. Thanks!

I'm dating this guy from Mexico and he barely speaks English. I know this sounds bad but I love hearing him speak Spanish but he doesn't in bed. So how do you say in Spanish (preferbly in Mexican Spanish because those online translators do not translate to him) "talk dirty to me in Spanish", "talk to me in Spanish", "I like how you say my name"? Thanks ;)

I am moving from usa to mexico and I will be working with only mexican with little or no engilsh. I was wondering if any one had any idle how long it may take me to be able to talk to someone in spanish and under stand them?

He likes books with pictures describing all kind of problems with the animals healt, He does not like to charge most of the time, that is way I would like to find a place to buy books for him in spanish, He lives in mexico thank you in advance.

I am by no means being hateful.....I just don't understand the backwards practice of forcing the host country to learn the incoming immigrant's native language. If I was to move to Mexico or some other Spanish speaking country.....I'd be forced to learn that language just for survival.
