I am having a hard time learning. Any suggestions? Good programs,etc..
Bill, I have tried visual link spanish and I love it but I can't afford to buy it. I might try to. Did you become fluent with the language software?

im learning spanish right now and its going ok but im still having a hard time holding on to some of the information im learning. what study tips can anyone give me. also right now im using a computer program its pretty good and im also using free translation.com it helps with sentence building. like if i want to say can i be here later it gives you the translation(puede estoy aqui posterior). its very help full because it actually gives you the sentence they way you would say it as if you were talking to someone instead of the way the book shows you. but can that site or another site help with pronunciation. or is there a site that you can type in a sentence in english and get the translation in spanish. also i want to get my sign language back. when i was born my hearing developed slow for some reason and as i grew up it got better so i learned to sign at an early age and later when my hearing started to get better i stopped signing and never did it again. i want to learn again because i enjoyed it but didn't appreciated what i had. is there a site to learn signing again. thanks for the help
right now im all over the place. i have a computer program, using free translation.com,using a book, watching tv and listening to radio and getting help from friends so im trying every way.

Cheater [as in cheating in a sport]
Speak in spanish
I'm full [talking about almuerzo]
about

She is too fake
He is lying
You are all ____ [verb]
Lying
Chill out

and, how to pronounce them, because I have a hard time doing that [For example, Uvas is Ooh-vas]

Thanks so much,I spend alot of my day talking in spanish, mainly to friends, but nevertheless it's good to know this stuff...
and They are all ___ [verb]

I have a friend who wants to know the difference between these two sentences, and I can't explain it in Spanish (because I don't speak Spanish). So maybe if I could show him two sentences translated from English to Spanish, maybe he could see the differences. He's having a hard time knowing the differences between "must" and "should" These are the sentences...

I must go to the store.
I should go to the store.

I have a brain problem which hurts my ability to memorize anything. I'm in a university and I have to take Spanish next semester so I'm studying ahead. I took it in high school but I had a really hard time, so does anyone have any tips/know of any software/websites/anything that would help?

I'm having a hard time seeing how to use these in a sentence. Care to give an example for each?

(tu) tienes
(usted, el/ella) tiene
(tu) hablas
(usted, el/ella) habla

It's not homework or anything, btw.

what is the easiest language to learn after learning english

I tried learning spanish in High School, not only was i not able to pronounce the double rr, i couldn't even get the ABCs down after the first Sems, cause i kept confusing it with the english Abcs with the spanish onces when speaking or reading.

I tried learning chinese in elementary, not i had a real hard time with it, due to making mistakes with the characters, (missing a line here and there)

So here is my question, which language would be easiest to learn in college as a 2nd language
Which is the easiest language to learn in terms of learning to speak and write.

I took several Spanish classes in college.
I got pronunciation down and a good bit of grammar understandings.

I have a hard time thinking quickly enough to process Spanish words --> English words --> meaning.

I have to plan out individual Spanish sentences before I say them. If somebody talks slowly enough in Spanish I can understand them after a few tries.

I learn new words rather quickly. I learn ~ 25-40 new Spanish words a day.

Basically need to immerse myself. I am in college though. I want to be as close to fluent as possible before I start medical school in 6 Months.

I was thinking (since I watch a lot of TV) I could just get the TV shows dubbed to Spanish with English subtitles, but I can't figure out how to do that.

Any other suggestions? I try to listen to Spanish music when I am walking around campus. It's hard to find actual recordings of talk shows in Spanish. Even with that, I think it would be hard for me to apply it without actually being able to quickly figure out what is said (IE with Spanish TV show dubbed with English subtitles).

Any suggestions?

what does this mean "Son cinco dolares mamasita por el add como me los keres pagar?"
I can talk spanish just fine but i have a hard time reading it so can someone help me please?

I don't have Spanish speaking family or friends but I do live in a city where there is a large Spanish speaking community and I often have a difficult time finding someone to interpret at my job. So I want to learn. I've tried in the past to take classes at a community college but twice I dropped it because the class moved fast and I had a hard time catching on. Should I invest in a program like Rosetta Stone?

My friend is from Mexico and we are helping each other learn. I have to find materials in Spanish to practice at an advanced level. I'm having a hard time finding stuff on the internet for higher levels. I am looking for things like conversation topics, intermediate level grammar, pronunciation, ... anything higher level.

Does anyone have any good resource links to offer?

Also what exactly is Basque? Is it a state in spain or france or what? I am having a hard time understanding what it is considered.

Hey, I'm in AP Spanish and understand all the most common grammar concepts and can talk and write Spanish pretty decently. However, I'm having a hard time understanding the "Listening" section on our tests where we have to listen to people speak in Spanish and answer questions about it. Does anyone have tips to understanding the spoken language?

Thanks in advance.

I'm having a hard time learning Spanish in my class. Is there a program like Rosetta Stone to help, but doesn't cost as much?

Okay, please do not be offended, (no racism intended) but I've noticed that Mexican Spanish speakers tend to talk really fast and I have a hard time understanding them, but I can understand other dialects just fine, (Cubans, Argentineans, Chileans, Spanish, etc.)

So my final two questions are why can't I understand Mexican Spanish as well as other dialects and are Spanish speakers from Mexico known to have the fastest Spanish speaking dialect?

I'm having a hard time with my Spanish and I was just wondering if it would be just as hard for Spanish speakers to learn English? Spanish seems harder to me, but then again, I've been speaking English my entire life so that might be the reason for that. What do you think?

I have to take two semesters of foreign language to earn my degree. Spanish seems to fit best in my schedule - I have a REALLY hard time rolling my "R" and just understanding the language. Can someone suggest a program that could help me learn to pronounce right and get a head start before next semester comes?

I'm just wondering cuz I'm having a hard time with my spanish, is it just as hard for people learning english?

im in high school.
i take spanish.
on monday we have to get up in class and say the spanish alphabet by heart.
but where can i find a place ONLY online that will help me say the words.\

i have a hard time pronouncing them.
Thanks Abe.
can u help me more with the rest of the alphabet?
i cant email you, you wont allow it.

I learn language fairly quickly and have interest in many cultures. Recently, I have learned some Hindi/Urdu with the help of Bollywood and a friend.

I have been trying to learn Spanish, but I have had a hard time getting into the culture. This is perhaps because it is not particularly exotic to an American-- in spite of the fact that I truthfully know very little about it.

Can you help me begin my learning experience with some ideas for learning or articles? I genuinely do want to learn!

i have 2 days to memorize them and im having a hard time.

I would like to have a career in healthcare. I am currently in college and have to take four semesters of a foreign language. I took spanish in high school and had a hard time with it because I can't roll my R's. Would it be more useful to learn sign language? Or should I just suck it up and learn spanish?

I have been practicing here and there for 5 years, I have gotten to the point that I can actually understand full sentences but I have a hard time learning the language myself. I can pronounce it perfectly but how does one perfect the art of the language and knowing all the words. I want to learn before i go to the dominican.

Okay so I don't know any Spanish, besides maybe a few words. Where I live in Texas, it's not a big deal, but I was in Houston about a week ago, and all I saw was Hispanic people who didn't know a word of English. If I relocate to Austin, will I have a hard time with employment.
I've been to Austin many times, and from what I saw I could get by, but I wanted to know for sure.

I was wondering what the easiest way to learn a language is? I have a hard time learning in a classroom. I can memorize words, it's the grammar and structure I have issues with. I also lose interest quickly. Are there certain programs that work better than others? I was thinking that the Rosetta Stone programs might work, but they're SO expensive. Does anyone know if they work as well as they're said to? Or if there's something out there just as good and not as epensive? I would prefer a program that can keep my interest, and also address my issues with grammar and structure.

Finally, should I learn Spanish or German? I want to learn German the most, but I know learning Spanish will be extremely useful soon if I stay in the USA.

I have a hard time learning Spanish and was wondering if I should try French, Italian or Latin. All of which I think are close to Spanish and if I learn one of those maybe I can ease it to ease in to Spanish.

Yes I know Spanish is the easiest language but for some reason I cant seem to grasp it. Perhaps because I feel I should all ready know it is why it is hard but I don’t know.

I am half Mexican so I should all ready know it but I don’t.

Can you suggest some good learning courses? I did take a class at the college but it went way too fast for me and for private lessons I would have to go to Portland 80 miles away.

Um…I have tried instant immersion Spanish deluxe CD program.

Any ideas?

I really am having a hard time deciding where I'd like to spend a some time studying spanish and studying nursing, I prefer not to have spain since there are different tenses you don't normally learn in school. I've been to Antigua, Guatemala and loved it and also Puerto Rico and spent some time in Miami. any people who've had first hand experiences would be much appreciated! thanks

I take Spanish in school, but I am having a hard time with it. I heard that Tell me more is good, just not for beginners. I need one that not only deals with vocabulary but sentence structure, conjugations, etc also.

I really want to learn this language but I'm having a hard time. I know how to pronounce the words perfectly and I can even read the words and understand them when said one at a time; however, when someone starts talking Spanish to me in full sentences it just sounds like a huge big blur and I can't understand nothing. It sounds like a lawnmower.
