I speak Spanish very well. I learned through immersion. I'm currently not practicing as much as I should and I need to practice advanced grammar and sharpen my skill set. I'm looking for software I can use at home tailored to people who have pretty much achieved fluency but want to perfect it.
I'd like to learn Spanish (Latin) through a language exchange, so communicating via email, messenger or skype. If you want to improve your conversational English, business English or grammar, this is the best way to do it for free!
I can read Spanish very well and write it. The problem is that is someone tries to speak to me in Spanish, I have friends who do, I can't understand some. However I realize that if they speak slowly I understand and I have a general idea of what they are saying by picking up key words. How can I learn to converse in Spanish instead of learning a whole set of Academic necessary grammar?
Well "thinking" in Spanish is a good idea. My teacher said that people think in their language and that it's researched. I'm 16 and as soon as we reached in our last term in Form 4, she said we have to stop reading Spanish-translating to English-then understanding all in our head but it is a lot harder than it sounds.
The Grammar comes out funny it usually has bad grammar. my spanish teacher ends up having to correct me.
First... I been learning Spanish for about 10 months now at home by myself, using websites such as spanishdict.com and other learning sites and chatting to native speakers, eventhough I understand the grammar, I somethimes seem to forget my words, and need to look at the dictionary everytime I read or chat with a spanish speaker, how can I really improve my spanish?
secondly, I have an interest in learning another language, I learnt French and German in highschool, and only remember a little of the basics, and would like to try learning these languages, is it possible for me to re-learn these languages again? without confusing or damaging my spanish? how could I plan learning for one of these languages and carry on learning spanish?
I need two year of a foreign language. This is my second semester of elementary Spanish. I don’t like Spanish but hate how hard the grammar is and I can’t roll my R. what is an easy language to learn. My college has Spanish, French, German and Italian. Tell me what will easy for me to learn and if you need to make weird sounds!
Thank you

How do you say "screw my grammar" or something similar in a slangy informal way.
P.S. I know how to use a translator so please do just copy the sentence and try to do that for me I freaking hate that. I want some who actually speak Spanish to answer my question.
I can read it at a basic level and write it as well, but as I've said very basically. I live in a Spanish speaking household so learning what door, lamp, stand etc words are in Spanish isn't a problem. I just need something to help me put "Yo" and "Mi" in the right places grammar wise.
I've got 2 open elective subjects to do next year in each semester. I have no idea what to choose, my major is Design but I don't want to choose a design subject because I will be doing 3 compulsory design units ! And if I do an extra design subject that's mean I need to bother (deal with) another English subject again! (Hope you understand what I'm saying...)
So I've decided to take Spanish BEGINNER (prefer Italian but we don't have it).
My biggest problem in English is 'grammar / tense' (as you can see). My accent is good
I've been living in Oz for many years and people understand me when I speak.
Now I worry if Spanish has many different tenses like English has...
hi,
I am interested in learning some spanish- As you may know from another question I have taken Russian so spanish would be my third language. Any how I am looking for in depth grammar vocabulary quizzes and audio materials is designed to cover the first couple years or so worth of accuses Not some simple phrase book again if you know some free web pages that would be best failing that- any good book/program combo would work
I know that Rosetta Stone only teaches you vocab and phrases and I was looking for a book to help me with the grammar portion of it, are there any suggestions?
I took several Spanish classes in college.
I got pronunciation down and a good bit of grammar understandings.
I have a hard time thinking quickly enough to process Spanish words --> English words --> meaning.
I have to plan out individual Spanish sentences before I say them. If somebody talks slowly enough in Spanish I can understand them after a few tries.
I learn new words rather quickly. I learn ~ 25-40 new Spanish words a day.
Basically need to immerse myself. I am in college though. I want to be as close to fluent as possible before I start medical school in 6 Months.
I was thinking (since I watch a lot of TV) I could just get the TV shows dubbed to Spanish with English subtitles, but I can't figure out how to do that.
Any other suggestions? I try to listen to Spanish music when I am walking around campus. It's hard to find actual recordings of talk shows in Spanish. Even with that, I think it would be hard for me to apply it without actually being able to quickly figure out what is said (IE with Spanish TV show dubbed with English subtitles).
Any suggestions?
I have a choice of taking either Spanish or Latin, and I'm not sure which one I want to take. I've heard that Latin can help your grammar, it will be easier to understand the Romance languages and it is helpful in the medical profession. But I've also heard that it is REALLY hard and I don't want to waste my time taking a language that can't be spoken and is supposedly dead.
I took Spanish for a year in the 6th grade and it was incredibly easy so I think it should be easier the second time around.
So some help, please? Which one should I take?
I like to do chores. (me gusta hacer tareas.)
My brother does not like to do chores. (mi hermano no gusta hacer tareas.)
I like to do chores to help my mother. (Me gusta hacer tareas a ayudar mi madre.)
Is this right, including the grammar and verbs? On the third one, I need the most help with the 'to help' part. THANKS!
I just received my placements; I am in honors English and Spanish classes. Spanish is my 2nd language, and I speak English natively. Grammar is my strongest point, but I do not know what to expect for the honors English or Spanish classes.
I currently go to www.spanishdict.com but recently the videos have not been working. After i updated my internet the videos arent working and i need to continue with my spanish. Is there any way where i can learn spanish online?
BTW i know livemocha.com and im using it but its only flashcards. Theres no grammar.
i heard its easier to learn spanish once you've learned french.if yes in which part will help you, grammar or vocabulary. thanks!
I know the grammar well, I can speak it with confidence, but I don't know enough vocab! How can I learn more vocab to flesh out my dialogues?
I am taking spanish tutoring once a week with a group of 4 people including myself. we want to learn conversational spanish and learn things quickly. we aren't so much interested in grammar and such for now. we would just like to improve vocab and verb conjugations. rather than spend the whole class talking and going through conjunctions, preps. and so forth. any ideas?
In this photo I was reading to my brother.
In this photo I was playing with my brother

Please use right grammar
I have been studying Spanish on my own now for about four years and it is by far the language that I use most often. However, I am very interested in South American cultures, including that of Brazil, and I would like to learn Portuguese. However, I have heard that learning Portuguese can ruin your ability to speak Spanish beyond repair, like that you will ever be confused by grammar and pronunciation. Has anyone here attempted this or experienced it? Thank you!
I'm a tenth grader taking Spanish for the first time. For the most part, I don't really need an extensive vocabulary to help me excel in this course, but I need to prep for future courses.
My goal is to be able to read and write fluently by the end of high school. Could anyone here tell me what that entails? Oh, and any input on learning grammar would be helpful as well. Spanish is DEFINITELY my hardest class.
I've been learning Spanish for awhile now but as I live in Canada I feel French would be another useful language to add, especially since I'm close to Quebec.
How hard would it be coming from Spanish? I know the general grammar and conjugation system would be similar but what else would be hard/easy?
Hello all,
I am taking AP Spanish Language 4 this year, and wanted to get an idea of how hard it is. I am not a native speaker, but have received an "A" semester in Spanish 1-3. I am confident with reading and writing/grammar, but not as much with speaking. Based off of this, how hard do you think the course and AP test will be?
Thanks!
whats easier to learn in grammar spanish or italian?
so i need to know which course to take in college and my major is business management/finance
im brazilian and i work for my father as a diamond setter and half the workers are spanish. SInce i have a basis in latin language (not that great) would it be more beneficial to learn spanish for work, or learn chinese since its said to be the future for business..
Spanish would come easier and i would learn the pronunciations and grammar.
Chinese is hard but like i said, a beneficial language in business.
how do you learn it? are there different levels?how many? is it grammar difficult? I am a spanish native speaker and I really want to know! thank you!
I want to know if it is difficult for English speakers to learn it.
This is the translation I need: "I've been busy with work and college. But I'm saving up to go to Italy hopefully this year and I would love to have you as my guide. By the way, if you had a chance, would you like to come visit Las Vegas someday? I could be your guide."
Thanks a bunch, everybody!
Yeah, those online translators aren't as accurate and they tend to mistranslate a lot of meaning in certain grammar. I prefers using a REAL person translator instead.
