and what about other countries like Germany , Italy etc
any other info that you can give

I have an opportunity to study abroad for 1 year but cant decide between Germany or France. i need some really use full answers and advice i am open to anything but i want a language that will help me get around more in the world preferably Europe .I speak english arabic and spanish . which language is more useful and why . what language is spoken more widely outside their native countries.
Dont know if this helps but i want to become a Pharmacist

i'm asking this question again because i think i made it sound like I favoured one of the languages in my last question. and i'm asking this because i'm equally interested in each

I decided that I want to learn a third language but can't decide which. I already know English and French. I want to learn German because it's part of my heritage and I have family that can speak it, i also have some friends that speak german and they laugh because i don't know it. also i find it's a really cool sounding language... but at the same time I'd like to learn spanish because its more used and a really nice language. i also have a few latino friends so it would be cool to speak with them in spanish. there is also a better chance of me travelling to central america than germany.

If anyone could help me out that would be great...like which is easier and why, which is more useful
i live in canada so both are not official languages---so lets say i do not speak one for a while, which would be easier to remember

Just wondering whether German language is being studied nowadays by so many people , or most of people prefer choosing Spanish as their second language. And If so , why do people avoid learning German and go for Spanish ? Though Germany has a strong economy and being able to speak German can be a really great asset in contrary with Spanish as the person will only be able to communicate with Hispanics ; especially those who come from south America . Thereby , they won't be able to utilize from their Spanish in Business world .

What do you think ??

Thanks in advance .

I've been wondering which language of these should I choose ! I love the way Spanish sound , but I feel that it's so hard to learn . German is good because of Germany only !! Germany has a strong economy , thereby it would be great to learn German . However , I've learnt German for 2 years now , and I went to Germany last Summer to study the language , but I didn't like it so much , mainly because of its genders !! :S

However , I have the basics of German and can proceed learning it .
I've bought a Spanish language teaching book recently , and it's great , but I still have many problems with it due to the different way of reading in Spanish than it in English !!

And I felt remorse to buy a Spanish book and not a German one !! So, I'm still not sure which one is better for me , or which one is more useful .

Another thing is that : are Spanish-speakers good ???!!

Shouldn't their national language be German?
And why do they have Spanish last names? They also look like they just moved from Spain, not Germany.

I have started to learn Norwegian, but later did I find out that only about 5 million people use it, and that they're trying to learn english, anyways. I do not want to learn Spanish, and when I grow up I want to live In germany or russia, but each of the languages there are hard..can anyone give me some insight on what I should learn? Thanks!

I plan on being in business, probably an investment banker. If I could take 2 languages, which would be the best and why? Which would be the easiest? overall which two should i study?!!??
(i am pretty good at french now but def. not fluent)
i have a lot of swiss (german speaking) family and a lot of banks are in germany....

I'm learning German because I want to GO TO Germany.

So why do so many Mexicans, Central Americans, and South Americans coming here (legally and illegally) refuse to learn our language, and make us learn theirs?

If you disagree, then why are there about 500 students at my school that CANNOT speak english? I may not be perfect, but hey, this country was english speaking since the conception.

I went out to eat with a couple of my friends and one of them said:

"I'm sick of everyone having to study and speak Spanish everywhere we go just to communicate. It isn't fair that we have to do so. If you went to any other country in the world, you'd have to learn their native language FIRST, not they learn ours. If you want to communicate in France, you must know French. In Germany, German. It is simply not right. By us Americans requiring everyone to learn Spanish and make our businesses and schools speak it, we are enabling Hispanics to be delinquent; we are allowing them to not do what is required to become citizens, which is speak English, because you can't become a citizen without knowing English. We are letting them slide, which is not fair to the other immigrants, and it is not fair to us at all. This is America, we speak English. Hispanics are having their way around here."

What do you think?

We live in a large Hispanic populated state and we are told my kids have to learn Spanish, yet this is America and we speak English, we were born English/ German/ Indian/ Hungarian/ basically. I am a Heinz 57 (which means many nationalities) honestly none in Spanish. We teach our kids sign language because of family and German because I lived there at one time and have German aunt. But we are told we have to teach them Spanish. We are also followers of Christ and teach them Hebrew, yet none of what we teach them is considered a 2nd language that can be used in the work place. Where is that right either. i shouldn't have to learn Spanish either just to understand what my children are learning in school and speaking with their Spanish- English speaking friends in my presents, where is that fair for the parents either. When I lived in Germany in the military we had to learn German. Why should we as Americans have to learn Spanish to live in our own state?
That word bilingual, my kids speak other languages. To the state being bilingual is Spanish-and English. But they speak Hebrew and German too, but that’s not bilingual by the states definition. I called that being selective to what they claim as bilingual. I call that racist to only claim Spanish as the only bilingual language for a job. Where is that fair either. I have Spanish friends who agree with me. I also have an Italian friend who was forced to learn English to even get any help from the state, so why should that be any different from the Spanish issue. Schools don’t offer as many language classes as they used too. My brother, a teacher doesn't think its fair to only have limited language classes to offer. My oldest speaks and understands some Spanish by choice, but I have a younger child who is mentally handicap where communication is a hard thing to do. She is also the reason we had to learn sign language. Spanish makes it harder on her own mind.

I live near Miami, and the majority of the population either speaks spanish, is rude, or speaks rude spanish lol. I just want to be able to say this to them to get my point accross! (they came here from 'wherever' because it's better, but refuse to learn the language?!?!?!)
Go read this, you'll see why it p*isses me off.

And "bella" and "come break me down", you're both idiots. There are Immigration laws for a Reason.
Mr.Inquisitor.

You're one of the people I'm upset with. Yes, I realize I'm in miami and that I'm the minority here, but you fail to get it through your obviously brick-thick skull that Miami is a part of the UNITED STATES, in which ENGLISH is the national language. Would you move to Germany and expect it's residents to cater to your language deficiency? I think not.

I'd really love for you to read my blog (link above). And feel free to spout some more horse-s*hit at it. I won't even waste my time deleting it. I'd like eveyrone who reads it to see the fault in your reasoning.

What is the Spanish, the Italian, the Germany, the French language for the English "Guitar Solo", "performed by" , such as "performed by Leonard"
for example: Serenade guitar solo performence by Paul, or Serenade performed by Paul
