I personally find the accents of Mexico and Ecuador to be very clear, whereas the accent in Carribbean countries such as Puerto Rico tends to be more difficult.

What are your experienes, for those of you who have studied Spanish as a second language?

First, what is the correct tense of the verb "dar" in this sentence- El viernes, __ el profesor un exámen.
Secondly- :) if nessecary, where do the accents go in these verbs-
1. oye
2.conozco
3/ abre
4. dices

sentence 1: When do you'all(informal) study spanish?
translation: ?Cuando usted estudio espanol?

sentence 2: Where does he play soccer?
translation: ?Donde el juega a futbol?

sentence 3: How do you(formal) speak spanish?
translation: ?Como usted habla espanol?

are these right? I couldnt put accents on these questions but i did on paper.

I am black male person (attend college) mixed with Antigan and Guyanese ( South America) and everytime I talk to a girl she is basically spanish (mostly Dominican or Puerto rican) . I love spanish women especially the ones with heavy accents . I don't know why I love spanish girls but sometimes my cousin labels me as a latina magnet is that a bad thing?

I need to identify which of 3 voices/accents is the most neutral spanish accent .

I have 3 female voices which can be downloaded as C1.mp3, J1.mp3 and F1.mp3 from

http://www.4shared.com/dir/5424208/2d49df59/sharing.html

I am not a spanish speaker. Please help me identify the most neutral spanish voice from these 3.

Iam a junior in high school and was planning to self-study AP Spanish language. I can speak and read in spanish, I do so at home; I just can't write using accents. I am Mexican, so I was wondering what kind of Spanish is used on the AP Exam (Castillian/Latin American/etc.). What would be good self-study resources and how can I remember accents easier (I don't know how to write with accents)

Hi, I'm doing a Spanish study guide (not worth anything). I get most of the questions (there's 100) except for these five. What do you think?

*1) Normalmente me cepillo el pelo. <--Is this sentence correct or incorrect?

*2) Juan no esta aqui. Puedes llamarlo luego.<--Is this sentence correct or incorrect? [The "a" in "esta" has an accent mark.]

*3) Choose the best Spanish equivalent to the phrase:

"I know where to shop."

A. Yo conozco donde ir de compras. ["donde" has an accent mark over the "o"]

B. Yo se donde ir de compras. [the "e" in "se" and the "o" in "donde" both have accent marks]

*4) Choose which word best completes the phrase:

"Ella____la ropa mas rapido que yo." [the "a"s in "mas" and "rapido" have accent marks]

A. ponerse
B. se pone
C. me pongo
D. se ponen

*5) Translate this phrase into Spanish: "You get dressed at 8 o'clock."

A. Se vistes a las ocho.
B. Vestirte a las ocho.
C. Te vistes a las ocho.
D. Vestirse a las ocho.
Americo: Thanks that makes sense. I thought those were the answers. But, for numbers 3 and 4, we're not looking at the accents.

I want to study Spanish abroad, but I don't know which country I should go to. Every country seems so appealing to me!! Considering accents, safety, cost, and entertainment, where do you recommend I study Spanish and why? I asked in dif sections, but I don't seem to get many replies. All answers are greatly appreciated!! Thnx in advance :)

I've been trying to find out how to use Spanish-language punctuation marks and accents from my English-language keyboard. I know it will come in handy here and/or on Facebook. Is it possible to do it? For the life of me, I can't make an upside-down question mark or exclamation point on my keyboard.

I am doing a report in Spanish and I don't know how to type the accents and tildes. Help?

I'm not saying it's bad or annoying, it's just their accents. They make these words sound like this:

Sick: See-ck
Little: Lee-tle
Fish: Fee-sh
Sit: See-t

You see, they make the I's sound like E's. Is there a reason for this?

Sorry I don't know how to put in accents.
Ramon leyo (accent over the o) esta revista.
Esos retratos son antiguos.
?Es esa reportera su favorita?
Aquellas camaras (accent over the first a) son del fotografo (accent over second o).

i am learning spanish and when my friends say things to me in spanish i understand clearly but when i listen to spanish dialogues online i can't under stand is that bad???
or does it mean i cant pick up certain accents

I want to add accents to letters, but I can't without alt codes... I've been told it's impossible to speak a language with different symbols without alt codes or a keyboard compatible with it.

Help?

a) Mexico
b) Costa Rica
c) Chile
d) Colombia
e.... that's it. ( no more options, other countries speak Spanish from the 16th century using understandable accents )

Vosotros celebrasteis Navidad.
Ellos subieron al Monte Everest.
Tu pusiste la television.

barring the accents, is there anything wrong?

Can you please translate this for me? Can you use the more "formal" version, like vosotros? Preferably with the corrrect accents and spelling to get the best answer points! Thanks!

I lost my bag during the performance of "Cut Copy" on Saturday around
12:30am - it was a blue bag by "Jack Spade" that I was wearing on my
shoulder. I either put it down or someone took it off my shoulder.

Inside it was a minidisk recorder, microphone, headphones, Canon Camera.

I am a Radio Reporter so I NEED the MINIDISK and Camera CARD more than
anything else since it has very important interviews on it that I did
with the bands... and without the disk I have lost all the interviews.
IF you stole the bag you can keep everything else... I just want the
disk.

If you FOUND the bag and will return all the contents, I will give you
a big reward, probably worth more than what you would receive by
selling the equipment in Spain. Please email me at
email@email.com
Thanks

Ignore the need of opening question marks, accents and ~:
1. Por cual no vienes a clase de espanol todas las semanas?

2. No eres para aqui, verdad?

Actually I am not even sure about what they mean...

Is there a technology software or something that I can buy that would kind of like correctly spelling check for accents, correct usage, conjugations, irregulars etc?

Please I think that this tool would really help me with my spanish work.
