Depends where you are speaking it. When in Rome do as the Romans do…
They are all correct in their own ways. And there is not one "better" than the other.
What do you exactly mean by correct?
That is correct, in fact, it is also the hardest to learn. It is like the difference between the US and England
Yes, you are absolutely correct! There are many different dialects in the Spanish language but it did originate from Spain.
How should I know, does it look like I speak spanish?
From what I remember from my Spanish teacher, Spain uses proper Spanish
Spanish is Spanish. Each Spanish speaking country has it’s own version of "correct" Spanish. Although, you might say that Spain has the oldest version of "correct" Spanish.
Yes, Spain is the more formal and standard.. but there isn’t really the correct spanish. All spanish is correct..
not necessarily. spanish is spoken correctly by a percentage of people in every country where spanish is the main language. there are different standard pronunciations in different countries, spain just being one of them. it is just like the situation with english.
well… spanish from spain is the original spanish… the "correct" and "better" spanish is just relative, it depends where you on where you
the spanish they teach in schools in spain spanish.
Yes, the rest is slang.
It really depends on where you want to speak Spanish. Spain’s dialect is the most pure, but If you do not plan on visiting Spain, the Mexican dialect is pretty universal, and probably the easiest to learn. Most Spanish speakers in America speak the Mexican dialect.
Technically the Spanish from Spain is the authentic. All the other Spanish speaking countries were conquered by Spain and that’s why they speak it. I wouldn’t say any is better. It’s like British English and American or Sccotish English.
That is correct! The spanish spoken in Spain is the correct way to speak spanish. As it is the english spoken in England etc…. It is also said that, that is the correct way to speak english
Well, is the english from britain "better"? It depends on your point of view.
In my opinion, you’d want to learn to speak the Spanish of the country closest to you. For example, if you’re in the U.S., I’d learn Mexican Spanish. Castillian (Spain) Spanish may not be completely understood by Mexicans. Most high school and college level Spanish classes are Castillian with a twist based on the home country of the Spanish instructor. I would never take Spanish from a gringa or gringo! If you have a Mexican Spanish teacher, well, he/she will put his/her own country’s lingo to it! In the long run, Spanish is Spanish. Just like English is pretty much English, whether you learn it in England or the U.S.
who cares…we speak english in this country!!! But I would guess that the Spanish spoken in Spain is more correct since that is where it came from!
spanish from spain is technically "purer" because thats where it originated, but its mostly on location, in the U.S. Spanish from Mexico and or the slang from the barrio is mostly used. its all on preference really
Yes, You are correct .However, Puerto Rico is also known for their strict Castillo dialect closest to that of the Spanish spoken in Spain .Mexican "Spanish" is closer to what would be called a street-wise :slang" form of Spanish.(Also called Spanglish). There are many durations of the same word.My Grandfather was once slapped across the face for telling a Mexican woman her "pinche" fell to the floor. Puertoricans use the word "pinche" for hair clip and in the Mexican culture it is a very vulgar "F" word. The different varieties of the language have changed so much that not all people speaking Spanish are likely to understand every word spoken by different Spanish speaking cultures. But,From the source,Spain is the purest and is spoken throughout Puerto Rico also.Costa Rica and Peru have slightly different dialect but are also quite proper.
