Should i learn to speak French or Spanish?
I'm going to be in the IB program starting next year, and need 4 years of the same language. I know that more people speak Spanish, but what about in Europe? I'm not very interested in going to South America. I plan on going to Europe to countries like Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands...western countries. Which of the two languages is more used there?

Then I think you should learn German! It’s very useful in Europe.
But if it’s between French and Spanish and you’re not interested in South America I think that you should learn French, it’s more universal in Europe.
French.
Your french classes will be wayyyyy smaller too.
French is definitely more used in western Europe than Spanish.
French would be more useful for that part of Europe.
