a-key
when a word ends in a vowel, n, or s, the stress is on the next to the last syllable.
Well.. you could listen to spanish music. or you could listen to this podcast that can be downloaded at Notesinspanish.com … bu that is a madrid dialect, so ya.. anyways.. spanish is probably the most simple langauge to pronounce. everythign is the same all the time. the vowels are "a – ah" "e – ay" "i – ee" "o – oh" "u – oo" … and then the consonants are the same in english and spanish.. except the LL sound is pronouced like a Y (or some dialects like a J) and Y is pronounced like a J in some dialects. Also, Z is pronounced like S except in Venezuela it is prounouced like a TH and then in Spain both Z and C (before i and e) are pronounced like TH .. J is prounced like H .. while H is never prounouced.. G before e and i is like an H sound.. and the RR sound is trilled.. and the R at the begining of words is trilled. And it is always like that.. haha. if you need any help feel free to contact me!
Also.. Aqui is prounced ah-key.. so the QU sound is like a K before the letters E and I.. and it is like a KW before the letters A and O.. and the Gu also follows that rule.. before A and O it is like a gw sound.. but before E and I is like a hard G sound… to make a GW sound before E and I you add two dots (called umlouph or something .. it’s german) to the U (like this: ΓΌ) and then it is a gw sound with the E and I. hahah.. ok.. tahts it.. i swear.. lol
