I think as native speaker the pronunciation (five vocals) and reading are easy (simple writing). But the grammar is so complex (it’s a romance language). You have to conjugate all verbs according to subject, tense, and mood. Spanish has more tenses than English and many more grammar structures. I just tell you that the English past tense can be translated into two different tenses (preterite and imperfect) and two moods (indicative and subjunctive). In addition, in Spanish it’s not necessary to use always the pronouns and agreement between nouns and adjectives is highly important.
In Spanish there are two verb for "to be" ("ser" and "estar") and two for "to have" ("tener" and "haber") and subjunctive mood is essencial. Old English had a developped subjunctive mood, but unfortunatelly it was lost.
I motivate you to learn Spanish. You’ll get what you struggle to get. Remember, people tend to overrate their knowledge, you will only know Spanish when you are able to do correctly in Spanish all what you can do in English (to do a public presentation, to write a novel).
In fact, I’m learning English right now.
Every language is hard to learn but if you are determined to learn the language than go for it
Yes the verbs are hard.
Yup, although some of the grammar rules are difficult and irregular verbs are a pain
No, at least for those who speak portuguese, cause is a very similar language.
Hello William, Spanish is easy for some and very mind boggling for others. For most people it is on the easy to medium side. For me it was very easy and I would recommend anyone to learn it as a second language.
well it has grammatical gender, irregular verbs, six verbforms per tense..
Esperanto is easier
