i want to learn spanish as a 3rd language but…?
im 16 years old and ive been bilingual since i was a toddler. i can speak fluent french and english without any accent. I can understand when people speak spanish because it's similar to french but i cant speak it
the thing is i,ve always been told you can only learn a language fully when you are very young. im already 16...i fear if i try to learn spanish i will end up not being able to fully speak it or speak it with a horrible accent =/...
has anyone learned a language after 15 and are able to speak it correctly?
also i don't remember learning french or english...so how long does it take to learn a language?
if your gonna be rude dont answer
alberto thanks alot thats a great idea!practicing with songs =) i know shakira has alot of spanish songs ..and ya i guess the accent thing is true but i guess sometimes having an accent is kinda cute i heard

I learned french when I was 20 , not a problem, I already knew english and spanish (nativo)
My only request , is that you get over yourself and avoid being self conscious about not having a perfect accent, if you cannot get past that, forget it, you wont make it, cause you gotta practice a lot, and for that, you gotta put up with not sounding like a native,
so just relax and practice like crazy,
besides spanish and french are quite similar grammatically,
just speak french with a german accent and you will be real close of estar hablando espaƱol
I like to practice languages with songs,
these guys have some good translated lyrics.

If you can do two other languages then the third should be doable as well. Don’t fear anything and take the same interest in the spanish language as you had with the other two, it will take the same amount of time. Age has nothing to do with the ability to learn!
My uncle graduated high school, and wanted to become fluent in French. He now can speak the language as though he is a native speaker, and has 3 wonderful kids who’s native language is French. It is Truly possible. You just have to want it bad! Think about it this way. You have already learned 2 languages, and you can learn a 3rd. Don’t rush learning the language, and you will do it. Everyone learns a new language at a different pace, Just TRY TRY, and TRY again! good luck with your Spanish
You can use the rosetta stone language learning software to assist learning, recommend a Web site that can help you.
