It’s quite fun and easy. Take a beginners class and take from there.
Go down to where the immigrants hang out looking for work and ask them to teach you. It may be hard as they do not know any english and it is illegal to hire them, but if you are dedicated that may be the best option. Outside of going to school of course.
move to spain
The best way is via immersion by living in a Spanish speaking country. You’ll learn it, if you have to use it.
If that’s not an option, try going to your library and requesting lessons using the "Pimsleur" method. It’s really important to hear native speakers speaking and Pimsleur starts slowly and then builds up to the actual speed of native speakers.
Also, watch a lot of Spanish-language television.
Just like any other language — you work hard. Learning other languages is FUN! I promise you. English is my second language, I learned French in school for 10 years and couldn’t really speak it. Why? There was no motivation.
When I knew I was moving to the US, I took some intensive classes, and this time I was motivated and worked really hard. I was able to communicate after 3 months, and after 4 months in the country I spoke well enough to get a job at an office and answer the phones. Making long story shorter — the secret to any language is motivation and hard work. Spanish is not hard to learn.
Good luck.
watch Spanish TV programs..and buy an ABC book…for beginners…to know how to write…and read…
I did so..and it works fantastic
I was a smart kid who could get a good grade in most subjects without studying too hard, but to my surprise, in math and Spanish I had to study. In college everybody was supposed to go listen to tapes three times a week, but I was the only one who did. I paid close attention to pronunciation and the different accents, and repeated everything under my breath. As a result I was always the best one in the class and I have a very good accent. Later when I was in Korea I had language tapes and I also did a brutal commute to Seoul for classes. I could listen to tapes while I was doing something else, and if I didn’t always pay attention, that was OK. I could play the same tape lots of times. I had a Korean friend who spoke Engligh well. He practiced with tapes in his car.
I can teach you, if u r interested. I dont speak crappy spanish. It’s 100 spanish, unlike some other people i know…
