you can read the dictionary but that is not very nice. xD …what you can do is take some paper. Write things that we use everyday and next you write it in spanish. (looking up in dictionary, internet is not always right) Example (for eating):
Fish: pescado
chips: patatas fritas.
water: agua.
wine: vino
beer: cerveza.
juice: zumo
fruit: fruta
vegetables: vegetales.
tomato: tomate
banana: plátano
lemon: limón
strawberry: fresa.
I suppose you already know all that but for example more difficult things i don’t know…you look around you and you will find more things to put, for example you look up and you see a lamp and you say oh how is it in spanish: lámpara. or you look at the pictures and you see a river in one of them how is it?..río and you write down xD…greetings

Go to a library and pick out some Spanish 2nd language books there are many that have pictures of tons of vocabulary with the words, so it will be easy to learn because when you have that visual aid its easier to memorize.
Check the Spanish word of the day daily on dictionary.com
They give some good examples of how to use the word too.
