Ok I will explain it dear. I studied spanish lots of years. You have to use the pronouns to substitute the nouns. For example the first sentence is:
1 Nos dijo que nunca lee los periodicos…….He told us that he never reads newspapers
In English you will do: He told us that he never reads them.
You have to substitute the noun (periodicos) with the pronouns (los)
So the exercise is:
1Nos dijo que nunca lee los periodicos……………..becomes Nos dijo que nunca los lee
2 Le prepara la cena elegante a tu mejor amigo…becomes Se la prepara a tu mejor amigo
3 A mi me van a publicar el libro……becomes Me lo van a publicar
The second sentence can also be said "Se la prepara" that means She prepares it for him
(She prepares it for your best friend)
