I do not want to learn spanish, but I need a Foreign Language for school. I speak English perfectly and I can read it. The Classes offered at my school are french, spanish, and japanese, but if i learn another language, i can take a test and i officially know that language and plass the class without taking it.
I'm looking into getting my masters degree in Puerto Rico (Library Sciences) and from a basic search, it looks like they offer that degree in at least one university in Puerto Rico.
I can speak Spanish fairly well, however, it is not my native language and even with an advanced grasp on the language I would struggle if the courses were primarily in Spanish.
Has anyone ever studied in a university there? What language were your classes taught in?
Most sites offer online courses for free or you have to watch videos and stuff. I really want to learn Spanish and it would be helpful if anyone knows any good sites that teach you starting from step one like a workbook. Possibly something like this site http://notendur.hi.is/haukurth/norse/ but that site is for old norse.
How do i prepare? are there certain areas where i should focus?help? if anyone has taken it and would like to help me make a study guide of some sort it will be much appreciated. thank you.
I want to move to the Philippines and make it my home for a while
I wanna learn spanish. and im guessin its abouf times. Is there any suggestions on where I can learn spanish ? D:
For nearly 15 years, it's like we, the people in the United States are being forced to learn Spanish instead of it being a choice of a language to learn. Unfair.
Just like it's a choice for Spanish-speakers who come to this country to learn English, right? No. We all don't speak the Ingles.

I am fairly intelligent and am looking at the commitment of time to realistically learn conversational Spanish.
I know it will differ by person, but has anyone done it in say...a year or less? If so how?
My school offers a study abroad program in Palma, Spain where Catalan is spoken. Do people speak Spanish there? I am just wondering because I don't want to go somewhere where people aren't speaking the language I want to learn. Thanks.
I live in a sanctuary city in Minnesota, with a large illegal population. They have marches in town, marching for amnesty, for white people to "get out" even. My town is quite devise, with people from all over the world, they get quite confused by the whole illegal Mexican in America thing. I speak a little Spanish from years of working with friends from Mexico. But lately it seems like it's crazy around here! At the march last summer they held up signs saying "Start to learn Spanish" and "This is OUR land" And even "Whitey go back to Europe!". Wow! And this is Minnesota! I've got no problems with the hard working friends I work with that happen to be from Mexico, but these others, what is the deal? They demand we learn Spanish in Minnesota? Just because the stubborn ones refuse to learn English?
To: Cheesus, you sound like the "Brown Nazi" radical nut jobs in my once nice town! Again, this is MINNESOTA! WE WERE NEVER A PART OF MEXICO! I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO LEARN SPANISH UP HERE! UNLESS YOU ARE SAYING YOU SUPPORT SOME KIND OF MOVEMENT THAT IS SIMILAR TO THE NAZIS OR SOVIETS!
EVERYONE! Please report Heath! He is using racial slurs! I did not use any slurs in my question and do not want any in the answers I get! The term "whitey scum" is very insulting to people!
I really want to learn Spanish, but I don't have any motivation for learning the language. Could you please give me some reasons why I should learn Spanish? I know that there are a lot of people that speak Spanish in the world, and it could be very useful to learn, but whenever I think of Mexico, a Spanish speaking country, I think of a very poor area. I also think of the desert, and the desert does not turn me on as much as a rich city with lots of tall, beautiful buildings.
And in return I can help with English or something.
I'm 18
I'm studying spanish right now in college and I'm ok at it. But I want to learn it much faster then I'm learning it now.
Someone stopped me today and started talking to me in Spanish this happens every so often. So do I look Spanish I am White, Japanese, Hawaiian, and Indian.
Also I am moving to Miami were I hear there are many Spanish people that speak Spanish. If this happens were I am living now I am sure it will happen often in Miami so should I just learn Spanish then? I don't want to not be able to talk to people that are trying to talk to me all day. I hear it is not a terribly difficult language to learn.
consider a beginner who doesn't know spanish at all and would like to learn the language to speak routine sentences,,,,which website would u suggest(with english translations and all)?pl.tell
or would a minor with around 6 courses along with some reading of Spanish websites, watching Spanish T.V. be just as good?
What is considered to be the best or at least decent aid to learning spanish, like software, audiobooks etc.
I have got a cd by michel thomas but there are some cons to his teaching, he has no accent and doesnt go through some basic stuff like colours, time etc
If youve learnt the language yourself from one of your suggestions that would be better to hear cause then i know its at least proven to be decent.
Thankyou

Is it possible to pass all your Spanish courses either with a major or minor and still not be fluent?
I want to learn both spanish and french. I want to start with the easiest language out of the two. which one is easiest to master?
I am asking because I am considering buying Rosetta Stone, they have two different versions of Spanish, the Spain version and Latin America. Thanks in advance for your replies!
