Is esperanto easy enough I can still learn spanish and not be too confused about the 2?
Or should I only learn 1 language at a time still?

Thanks.

Also if I study aproxomatly 2 - 5 hours a day how long will it take to become fluent in esperanto?

Thanks

I have the Spanish Regents tomorrow and I was wondering: what is the best way to study for a foreign language state exam? Do you just review the vocabulary learned throughout your high school years, and just learn the grammar rules? Know how to conjugate the verbs and stuff like that? Just wondering.

I want to learn Spanish by the end of the year.. is that do-able? And what is the best way?? Any Ideas? Be real Please?

Hi I've been learning Spanish for nearly a year, and this summer I'm planning to continue learning this language, the question is that I live in London and there are many spanish courses near me, but would that be useful to me knowing that this is not a spanish country?

Teachers at my school want me to go to Spanish class :S
I think it might be good, having something more on my report card.
Would I need lots of time to catch up and stuff?

i cant spend money.please help! my family speaks spanish,so i wanna learn secretly so i can eavesdrop!!! please help!!!!

What i need to study?

I have to taken two years of spanish in school and I know the basics. I have been teaching my self through songs that have english and spanish versions. I listen to the song while looking at the lyrics in spanish and english and use a translator. This is helping me learn some new words and sentence structure. Is this a normal way to learn? Are there any downsides to learning this way?

i really want to learn the language. do you think it is possible to learn the language from a book?

The exam is tomorrow, and as many times as I have sat down to study, I can't figure out how to do it! We have 52 poems and will be tested on 3. Basically we have to write a commentary about each one...how do I study for this???

I want to learn Spanish but I reside in Pakistan where languages like Spanish, French and Italian are not spoken.

Ok, no language is easy, admittedly, but I have to say out of all the languages one could learn, Spanish certainly is not the easiest. It's grammatical structure while resonably regular is significantly different to English - people say Spanish is a very regular language but it has enough irregular verbs, werid conjugations, general irregularities to drive someone round the bend.

The main positive things for an second language learner is that Spanish has a relatively easy pronouncation system (although not always), and is resonably phoenetic.

However, in my opinion, it is by no means the easiest language to learn for an English speaker. If you were looking for the easiest language to learn, then I feel that would be the main Germanic Scandinavian languages of Norwegian, Swedish and Danish. Those languages have a grammar strecture that is extremely close to English, the verbs don't generally conjugate and there are far less irregularities than Spanish.

I've never understood this myth about Spanish being easy, in my opinion, it's a complex language riddled with irregularities and annoyances for the second language speaker. It's a beautiful language once you learn it, but it's certainly a bumpy ride to get there, there are easier languages you could pick, in my opinion.

I'm in Spanish One and if I fail the final tomorrow, I'll fail the class. I REALLY NEED good studying tips to get me through this. I know there are alot of these, but I want the best, most specific way to study. Thank you.

I know 40% of tagalog language are loanwords from spanish,so i guess it is easy for a filipino to learn spanish, and is there spanish training center in philippines, and where?

Hello,

For anyone who has taken A Beka's HS Spanish 1 or 2 AND those who have taken Bob Jones University's Spanish courses, please read on.
We are trying to find a good Spanish three course that will work with and follow up on A Beka's two year course that we have taken. Does anyone know of a HS Spanish THREE course that works well with the A Beka series? If so, please tell me the name of the publisher and licensee.
Does the B.J.U. Spanish three follow well after A Beka's?
If you have taken the B.J.U. course, could you tell me if you enjoyed it. Did it seem superficial or was it a thorough, challenging course suitable for high-schoolers?
Any comments, suggestions or caveats regarding Spanish Three Courses is welcome.

if i listen to spanish recordings while im asleep, could i learn the language or could it at least help me learn the language?

I have researched many spanish speaking countries and have found many colleges I would be interested in but I really don't know what country is best to go to to learn Spanish and be able to go to a really good school. I also want to make sure the degree I earn would be effective once I came back to the states. I really want anyone's opinions on this- preferably if you have personal experience with this. Thank you!

Have you been turned down for a promotion because your not bi-lingual?

English to sell to the US? People seem to think that someone is telling them they must learn Spanish to speak to the hispanic community, but when has anyone ever asked you to learn?
Hey angry POD, I am speaking English.
Not just selling to Mexico, but to spanish-speakers in the US.
grooming, you can choose not to put things in Spanish, just dont sell you stuff, your choice.
Alll dialects of Spanish understand one another well. Dont act like if you spoke Mexican Spanish, people from Cuba would not understand you, they would and do, ask my Cuban friend.
Zoe, I am not Hispanic, I never claimed to be. My husband and I help Mexico by taking care of his parents, bring things to his aunts, uncles, friends. I take letters and packages to and from Mexico to let friends communicate with their families. In my house in Mexico, we house his Mom, Dad, Sister, Neice and Nephew. It's a pretty big place. We have a bathroom with shower, something that they didnt have before we made our house there. I sadly cannot say that I have helped all of Mexico, though I have donated to the Red Cross there for the victims of Hurricane Stan. I cant help how you percieve me, I am just stating my beliefs.

I am in need of a spanish audio chat room where I can practice Spanish and ask questions.

Hi :) , I am curious to know what is the most pressing problem people face when they learn spanish? What do you think is the best way to learn Spanish?

im looking for a forum/program i can use to learn spanish.

Im going to be in my third year of french, and well, I was hoping to expand the languages I learn. Can you help me find a another language? I think something hard like Arabic would be cool, but I don't think I will give it a try. Oh, and I really DO NOT want to learn Spanish. No offense I just hear it all the time and I really don't want to learn it.

I am planning on studying spanish for 1-2 weeks in Guatemala at the start of my 6month latin american trip and would love to stay with a Guatemalan family.

Dont know whether to study in Quetzaltenango or Antigua?

I would love any other tips too!

Gracias.

I`m quite good at English...But since it`s almost impossible to learn Spanish here where I live, I`d be satisfied with pre-intermediate level (just to understand and be understood).
I`m curious because you guys speak SO FAST (my self teacher is slower, lol)

Basically what the question asks. Have you ever used the computer based language software Rosetta Stone to learn Spanish or another Latin based language like French, Italian, or Portuguese? How long did you use it, did you complete all or most of the lessons/levels, and did it work for you?

If you've used it for another language like German or Dutch feel free to answer but I'm planning on using it for Spanish or one of the other major Romance languages.

I have been learning spanish and I want to know how I can hear spanish words and not translate them into english in my head. I want to be able to hear a word and know exactly what it means. Please explain why this is happening or how I can stop it from happening, because I want to be able to understand easily. Best answer wins!
