My native language is English, but I've learned (but still have quite a bit to go before I'm completely fluent) Spanish. I'm curious as to which language is easiest for someone who has already learned Spanish to learn.
Catalan, Italian, Portuguese?
I'm looking to receive private Spanish instruction (I'm at the advanced level), and the one tutor offering lessons on my campus isn't a native speaker. Should I take lessons from her? Would I be able to learn more from a native or non-native?
I don't want to learn spanish if it is hard. Is spanish easy to learn?
Is there an online site to learn or books or anything? Or do you think it would be worth it to pay for the college to learn it? Thanks.
I like the fact that modern day computers can not only multitask but allow multiple ways of doing things. Where can I learn the spanish language while surfing the internet?

I've always wanted to become fluent in a second spoken language. I took Spanish all throughout high school. Although I like Spanish, I would LOVE to learn French or Russian. I'm considering taking a class this summer and hopefully continuing study of whichever language I choose in the future. I'm 21 (a junior in college) - is it too late to become fluent in a second language? I know there is a certain age bracket for language learning & fluency. And just out of curiosity, should I continue learning Spanish because I already know the basics & it's more practical, or start from scratch and learn Russian or French? Thanks for your help!
I'm thinking of getting living language platinum spanish for christmas and want to know before I buy it, is it formal spanish or street spanish? and will it actually help me get fluent (not just showing me pretty pictures and memorizing the words aka rosetta stone) or is it just about the same. I was just wondering cause I was thinking this (it has a book, Cds, online community etc.) but I also heard learning spanish like crazy helps a lot too. If you have the program or tried it pleaze help me know.
(I also have spanish speaking relatives so that can help with the immersion lol
before i forget is it as buggy as rosetta stone as in error codes and licensing. and can i put it on multiple computers like my main, a laptop and whatever else? Thanks!

This is American we speak English not Spanish. We have a right to protect our language borders and culutre. How can I get my son out of this program? Is it constitutionally legal for a school to be able to force the kids to learn a language?
There is only a teacher that teaches Spanish no other languages. the school is forcing them to learn spanish. they have no choice
I am having a hard time learning. Any suggestions? Good programs,etc..
Bill, I have tried visual link spanish and I love it but I can't afford to buy it. I might try to. Did you become fluent with the language software?
I'm Dutch and German is pretty easy for me to learn. So are Danish, Norwegian and Swedish.
I was wondering if for native French speakers, Italian and Spanish are easy to learn.
hello, I am a student currently enrolled as a sophomore in high school. I am puerto rican and currently learning the Spanish language. (didn't learn it as a child)
after I am finish with the Spanish language, I am planning to learn some of the Slavic languages; eg. Russian, Ukrainian, Polish etc. I am very good at learning languages, I started learning Spanish a year and I am almost completed with it. Do you think it would be very difficult for me to learn these languages? Do you think I should learn these languages?
Spanish was once a subject in Philippine schools but lately it was removed. Is it an advantage to learn this language? Is it more difficult than English?

We turned the entire south-west hispanic. It's a fact no one can deny. Most popular boy's name in Texas is Jose. In California everything is in Spanish. But the white people are too lazy to learn Spanish. Why don't they move to Iowa then because more of us is gonna come. Just look at population statistics.
I need to know what are some good basic words and phrases for kids to learn in Spanish?

I'm just curious. I do not understand why they need to take it. It is their first language, therefore, they already know how to speak it. I see many hispanics who speak Spanish as a first language, taking the Spanish course and they have no problems with it. I'm taking Spanish because I love learning languages and no, it is not my first language. It is my third.
Thank you for your kind answers!!!!

There is this episode where Turk learns Spanish to surprise Carla, but he decides to keep it secret so he can spy her out. In the Spanish dubbed version of Scrubs it wouldn't make sense for her to only speak Spanish. So what language does Turk learn? Also, where do they say Carla is from?
I am 20 years old.
I do have a background in learning other languages.
I have taken French in middle school and high school. Not fluent at all.
I have taken Arabic when I was living in an Arabic speaking country. I am no where close to being fluent. I used some on the street. But I got by with English, broken French, and broken Arabic.
The Arabic class that I took in Morocco was not really good. I barely retained anything.
I really want to become fluent in another language.
I really want to learn Spanish. I actually did not take any Spanish classes, I just use what I had picked up in the hallways/ school bus from high school.
I know that learning languages in a classroom is not a good way to pick up and speak a language fluently. Well, not for me.
Being thrown into another country to learn the language is way too tiring, and frustrating.
Is being 20 years old to old to learn another language and be able to speak it fluently?
I want to learn Spanish.
Thank you very much. Muchas gracias!
With classes, I am being taught a text book, not the language. If that makes sense.
Hmm... maybe if I take private classes, not ones that are academic then maybe that could be an option.
I need some help with a school project, please!

I am learning how to speak Spanish now in college (I took 2 years in High school.) I want to learn these languages in this order: French, Italian, and German. I actually wanted to learn French first but I figured Spanish was the best way to start. Should I learn Italian, then German, then French, as the the first 2 are more closely related to Spanish and English as well as being easier to pronounce? Or should I learn French next as that is the 2nd/or 3rd most popular spoken language in the world?
