Spanish Language Archives

hello everyone, I've been studying spanish quite intensively recently and came up with this spanish sentence.

"solo hablo un poco de español, pero cuando oigo una persona española hablando en español, empiezo ser confundido"

I'm trying to say: I speak only a little bit of spanish, but when i hear some spanish person talking in spanish, I start to get confused.

can you correct my spanish paragraph please?

For spanish class I have to write about what i did in the holidays (2 weeks ago)
Should i be talking in preterite indefinido or imperfecto?

Or...maybe a combination.....?

because if i just breifly say what i did its indefinido and if i go on to talk about it, it is imperfecto, is that right....?

= s

1, Just take whatever you want, please don't hurt me.
2, You're the most beautiful girl that I have ever seen.
3, May I buy you a drink/dinner?
4, Jesus loves you.

Please answer me with native Latin American Spanish in a gentle/romantic way, and please make sure spelling them correctly, as I will have to look up how they pronounced. Mucho gracias!

Also what are the AR and ER/IR endings for the present progressive form?
Last question, what are some verbs that have a stem change?
Okay I actually need both stem changing verbs and stem changing commands. Plus I need to k ow irregular verbs for commands...ik I need a lot.

For example "g" before "e" is "gue" and "z" before "e" is "c"
and also what rule would apply or not to subjunctive.
Thank you!

I'm doing my Spanish term project, but I'm unsure about how to say a few things.

"It was made in 1989"
"It stars Alex Winter as Bill S. Preston and Keanu Reeves as Ted Logan."

Bonus points if you know what movie I'm talking about. :)
Also:

"This movie is about two boys, Bill & Ted. They are failing their history class and use a mysterious telephone booth to go back in time to get historical figures." I can translate that sentence basically, but I don't know exactly what it would be. :) Thanks!

I am bi-lingual I speak both Spanish and English and I am currently learning to speak French. But because of the fact that both my parents and family speak spanish I am force to also speak spanish at home and english at school. I came to this point where my english vocab crosses with my spanish one when I'm talking spanish and vice-versa. And when I'm in french class its worst! Is there any way I can improve my grammer in all three languages and avoid that annoying language brain-fart?

For spanish class, I have to create an activity involving spanish vocabulary about cars to help my other classmates review for the final. Does anyone have an suggestions about fun worksheets or handouts that can be given to the class? Because I can't think of any.

Also we have done a lot of word searches and crosswords in the class already so a different activity would be great. Thanks!

My daughter needs it for her Spanish class.

1.I studied Spanish yesterday.

2.I did my Spanish homework yesterday.

Thanks! :)

like is it totally different like the languages, or is sign language similar in different languages?

I am hopefully getting a job at Best Buy (They just called me to come in for a third interview) and I speak Spanish pretty well. I am very good a learning languages but I unfortunately only know the vocab that they teach us at school in Spanish class.

What are some words/phrases that fluent speakers would use that I could use when talking to someone in Spanish if I get the job at Best Buy?

what are the endings for stem changing verbs in preterit form? please also give me an example! Thanks!

Im looking to increase my spanish and I wish I could talk to someone on yahoo messenger. Give me your yahoo id and I can add you if you want.

Okay, so I know my vocabulary, but I'm not exactly sure how to put the bits & pieces together to form a complete sentence. I'm only in Spanish II, so I don't really need advanced vocabualry or sentences. How would you say:

- I listened to my parents and teachers.

- I didn't talk to very many people.

- I played many sports and games.

Reading? Listening to Spanish? Talking more? I asked my Spanish friend and he said that reading out loud won't help as much as listening to Spanish. What do you guys think?
I understand Spanish. I am talking more directly about learning the accent, not so much the language itself.

It is one in the morning on Saturday

It is 7:45 in the morning.

At what time?

At 8:45 in the morning on Saturdays and Mondays.

I have English and Philiphi in my Nokia 5800 XM. I want to have English and Spanish. I am from INDIA. Is it possible to change language.?

actually I want to travel to colombia.. but I don't have idea 'bout talking spanish..What n the hell can I do!?

1. What do you (familiar) print?

2. Who does he fear?

3. How many students (estudiantes) meet?

4. Where do you (formal) sell tacos?

5. How do we learn?

I don't have a problem studying on my own but at times I run into problems and find things confusing especially problems finding ways to study and help myself learn and remember things. I don't have the opportunity to attend a spanish class so if a teacher wouldn't mind helping me find the best ways to go about studying what I'm trying to study. Thanks!!!

Push my arm as hard as you can.
I would not speak another language as much as I speak spanish.

Thanks!
