Besides Spanish, is there other language you study in highschool that could be useful in California??
Are there tha many people visiting from Europe or other countries?
Say for example, In highschool i studied french. Never see any french tourists or people in my life. Well maybe just a few at random, but it's not like a sizeable group. So how in the world can we use such languages.
Ok and i know there's other communities besides Spanish speaking ones. But are they big at all? Doesn' seem like it. OR if there are any, they would be part of the rich class. My mother is a house cleaning lady and one of her bosses was married to a french guy .They lived in a commnunity where rich people live here close to my city.

Mandarin Chinese is the way to go, especially if you live in southern California.
English is always a good language to know.

Maybe chinnese or japanese. There are alot of asians in california.
Japanese. More and more Japanese and asian groups are flocking to California.
French is useful in North America if you head up to Canada, but sadly, not in California.
Some high schools are now offering American Sign Language to fulfill the foreign language requirements. There are many jobs where knowing this language is a plus, esp. government positions.
If you had a chance to learn an Asian language, I see them popping up more and more in the state. But I haven’t seen a high school that offers them.

those asian languages are about the best, and then maybe alittle arabic and hebrew, for beverly hills, california is becoming diverse, you might try some of the american indian languages, (you would be surprised, indians like their own languages, and feel they are being lost in the culture, anyway, have a nice day
the word useful is relative. what may seem useful to you, may be of little or no use to someone else. learning languages broadens knowledge, looks good on a resume and can be rewarding in your personal life. if you speak and read/write fluently, you could be a translator. or you could just read French poetry.
American sign language is very useful. Although for just share usefullness Spanish is the better choice. I’m not gonna say English as many have done. You wrote in English so I assume you speak it.
French is good, because, it is pretty useful. Many vietnamese people as well as other asians speak it as a second language. Remember, Vietnam, was a French colony before the war. Mandarin Chinese is also fantastic. I don’t think they offer it in high school though.
Languages are good to know. Ask yourself what you plan on doing for a living. Military is a great option and it will get you in contact with other cultures and countries. I recommend the air force. Not everyone that is in the military goes to war. Try and match your language studies to that end.
