Everyone in my family always says to me "You speak Spanish like an Italian". When I say "what does that mean?" they reply "I don't know, you just speak Spanish like an Italian person would".
I am not Italian, though, I am a Spanish (from Spain) American. I have recorded myself speaking Spanish and it doesn't sound odd to me.
What could they mean?
I recently found an interest in Spanish and the culture surrounding it. I have little to no knowledge of the language. What do you believe is the best approach to it? I want to get started, but I'm not sure how.
What I want to understand is, how do you write numbers in the thousands. What are the basic rules for writing numbers in the thousands? When do you put a "i" or a "y" between words? Could you give me some examples of numbers in the thousands up to 10,000? Could you also show me how to write the number 10,000?
Thanks for answering!
Question 19 dealing with writing numbers in the thousands and the number 10,000

I don't know about other states, but in TX, we have hispanic people come to the store and just start asking questions in Spanish like we are suppose to know.. it doesn't matter if the sales person is white, black, asian, european, etc.. they come in talk in Spanish to them and then the sales people have to find someone else in the store who speaks spanish.
It's freaking annoying if you want to live here, please learn English, take a picture, and bring it to store, ask "where is" then you point at the freaking picture!

I'm looking to learn a new language but I can't seem to find any affordable programs. Rosetta stone is far too expensive, and the instant immersion doesn't look very high quality. I want to learn either Spanish, Italian, or German. Any suggestions on EASY and cheap ways to learn one of these?
How do you say " At day I study on spanish " ?
A school project. Were allowed to ask people for Spanish questions to ask to interveiw people, but they have to have at least seven words each. Help is greatly appreciated cause I don't wanna seem like a German derp. My Spanish teacher is already convinced I'm a Nazi TT~TT

Why would she call her song Spanish Lesson if it really had nothing to do with learning the language
I would like to be a fluent Spanish speaker. Currently at an intermediate level, better at reading than at speaking or writing. Looking for a structured, relatively inexpensive small-group course that offers the most bang for my buck.
I have consistent 90s throughout high school in all of my courses. I was just wondering would this one average in my Spanish course in middle school which is a 69, destroy my chances at Ivy league. Right now I take college level Spanish and I have a 92 average so will this help.
A 92 average in the Spanish course I meant.
When I'm talking to someone online in Spanish (I'm fluent in both English and Spanish) they always seem to talk in all caps. They're not even yelling or trolling. They can be speaking very politely and still type LIKE THIS.
Is this some sort of cultural thing?
i am looking to learn a little spanish online but idk were to go can someone help plz
This year, I regret not taking Spanish. I found that learning Spanish as a second language helped improve my English. By joining the National Spanish Honors Society, I hope to regain the Spanish I have lost this past year. Though my schedule is booked, I hope to study Spanish in college.
This too.... If I become a member of the National Spanish Honors Society, I will contribute my time and dedication to making the club fun. I will also be willing to organize parties as well as outside school events, such as trips
Vete la karaho

Because when I vacationed in Florida all the Cubans there talked to me in Spanish without even asking me if I spoke it, while where I grew up the Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Ecuadorians and other "latinos", usually ask whether I speak Spanish before talking to me in that language.
With little money to spare; and few people to speak spanish too.
I'd like to learn fluent spanish, how can I teach myself it?
I am determined to learn both Languages, Ive been trying to study them both at the same time but I found its not helping, so I want to start out by learning one first and then the other.
Which one would be easier to learn first?
Also Spanish is my native language if that helps.
Thanks.
These are six Mexican Spanish phrases, and I want to know what they mean, and also the context like plural or singular, etc! Also, when is the appropriate way/time to say it? I do not trust google-translate...
-Debemos fumar hoy?
-Ustedes fuman mota/hierba?
-Quieren fumar conmigo algun dia?
-Te estas divirtiendo?
-Cual es tan divertida?
-Digame cuando!
Just started learning spanish and I'm confused on a few small things? Hoping within the next two years I can take a college course and do a foreign exchange student program.
How is the pronounciation change when there is an accent on 'a'? Example: would be tree or arbol?
Is should/ "deba" pronouced as it looks?
How do you say "would" in spanish. What form do they use?
And can anyone give me different lists of the basic words that you find you use the most?
I'm thinking of taking it next year. What is the best way to study for it? (besides taking spanish classes)
For homework, I was given some examples of sentences, and asked if any were wrong.
It said that there might be no wrong things, or no right things, but we're doing masculine and feminine singular and plural, which I SUCK at...

it my school system, you take spanish staring in 2nd grade thru 8th grade, you don't have a choice. then thru high school you can choose to take spanish french or german. you need to take one year of a foreign language to graduate. anywhooo do you think its important for kids to learn the language? why/why not?
