Spanish level after one year in Argentina?
Hello,
I was hoping i could get some good answers.
I have a job starting in Buenos Aires soon, lasting one year. I have studied spanish on and off for four years (2 years in school, 2 years evening classes). I consider myself decent level yet when i do online assessment tests i generally come out at intermediate(lower) level. Pretty dissapointing but there we go.
My job will be only partly talking in spanish, in the office, needing enough to get by. Mostly i will be talking in english to british clients.
However, i will be likely to have an argentinian girlfriend i have met out there before.
After one year of living in buenos aires, with an ok standard to begin with, what sort of level do you imagine i will have by the end? in general i am fairly good with languages. Any advice welcome....!
seriously, i grow up in a spanish family and i still dont know it all the way. it takes years to learn. so why is the skill to speak two languages taken so lightly?
Which of these would go good with learning spanish as it would be so different that i would mix of the two languages?
Portuguese
french
arabic
russian
hindi
mandarin

Its a really beautiful song that I keep hearing play on one of the Top 40 radio stations but I can never understand what they're saying. It sounds like a guy and girl are whispering to each other and all I can make out is the girl say '...my heart my heart'. It has sort of a Spanish sound to the background.
How do you say "How long have you been studying Spanish?" in Spanish?
My teacher doesn't teach us anything and just gives me homework.

im brazilian and i work for my father as a diamond setter and half the workers are spanish. SInce i have a basis in latin language (not that great) would it be more beneficial to learn spanish for work, or learn chinese since its said to be the future for business..
Spanish would come easier and i would learn the pronunciations and grammar.
Chinese is hard but like i said, a beneficial language in business.
I'm currently learning Spanish in college and am at the intermediate level. I'm really intrigued by both Mexico and Puerto Rico because of their nearness to the US. I would like to study abroad in one of the two countries in about a year and a half. If you could give me your opinion from personal experiences while still taking financial aspects in account, I would be very grateful. Thank you.

I am a junior in high school and was planning to self-study AP Spanish language. I am Mexican, so I was wondering what kind of Spanish is used on the AP Exam (Castillian/Latin American/etc.). What would be good self-study resources and how can I remember accents easier (I don't know how to write with accents)
I can speak and read spanish, I do so at home. I just can't write using accents

2. can be worn anywhere
3. last week
4. She bought the shirt at _____
I have been wanting to learn Spanish for some time now, and would love to live in a Spanish country to do so. I am taking online classes also. So I guess my question for everybody would be what is the best way to live in a Spanish country while taking online classes. I would like to work also if that is possible to make money to live and such stuff like that so if anybody has any ideas that would be great. I am going for a sports degree so something in that category for a job is great.
Thanks
