I am a beginner in Spanish and want to learn it because of the growing Spanish population. What are some FREE (I mean free like free not free lessons for 13.99) Spanish websites I can go to that will teach me? Thanks
i work in a preschool and i have six spanish speaking children in my classroom, three of the children are bi-linqual they can speak both spanish and english the other three can speak some but i want to learn how to speak spanish b/c i feel that if i am going to be successful at my job as a teacher i need to be able to communicate with all my children and i feel that the hispanic children would feel more comfortable if they knew that when they entered our classroom their was someone who can speak their lanquage. we do not have a translator in the building at all and i think that this is a disservice to the kids in my room...i have tried to listen to spanish tapes but it does not seem to be working i seem to learn more from the children b/c they teach me certain words and phrases in spanish but i want to learn more b/c i feel it is necessary to service not only our children but their families as well....
My boyfriend is bilingual and LOVES when I talk to him in spanish. I like to come up with sayings that catch him off guard and watch him melt away. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I am currently studying: Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Italian, Hindi, & Russian. I would like safe, reliable websites that help you learn the language and their culture. Also, on some of the websites, I would also like the transliteration for the following languages: Hindi, Russian, & Japanese.

I'm considering going there. My other options are Puerto Vallarta or Guadalajara, Mexico.
I'm homeschooled and I'm really keen on learning some foreign languages for fun, and since I am pretty fluent in school French I decided to learn Spanish or Italian. I'm not American and so no-one I know can teach me Spanish and it's not offered anywhere. So I just want to learn basic/conversational Spanish online.
But all the sites I've gone to either require payment or they're actual "lessons" which I'll have to make time for, and which I can't really use. So does anyone know a site that simply has free, online, in-browser, basic lessons in Spanish? (Or any other foreign language really-Italian, German, Japanese, Korean, Tamil...)
Help please?

Hi everyone,
i can speak Arabic and English. im learning Spanish these days... I really admire the people who know many languages. It is really great.. i would like to add another language to my knowledge, but I don’t know what to choose. I don’t even know what to consider when I choose a language to learn. I could not find any center close to my home for languages, so I need ur help to know the following: what is the language that is widely taught online. I found that I can easily pass the beginner level in Spanish language by learning it online. Pls, tell me what language you chose to learn? Why did u choose it? is it easy to learn online? How much time you spend daily to learn it?,, I really have the desire to learn.. I wanna learn a useful language that can broaden my knowledge. I got many advices like learning Chinese coz it is gonna be the international language, but I think it sounds extremely hard to learn. i thought about German, french, Turkish, Icelandic, Italian, and Korean, but I still don’t know what choose… I wish if u can help me to make a choice, I will truly appreciate it
Thanks in Advance =)

I remember reading an article about an advice columnist... The asker wondered if she should listen to all of the people telling her not to learn French because Spanish is more useful. The columnist said to learn French anyway because "the only Spanish book worth reading is Don Quixote." Or something to that effect.
Can you help me?
Don't worry, I do not just suddenly want to get good at Spanish. I have been taking Spanish for 5 years and have taken 2 Spanish college classes. I have always gotten in A in my Spanish classes, and one time I got the best grade in the school. I have taken all of the Spanish classes that are available and I am afraid I will forget what I have been taught unless I find someone that I can talk Spanish with. Is there anyone who would like to help me???
