We're looking for a good set of CD's, not computer based, that he can listen to in the car. Something that will teach him conversational Spanish...Anyone out there know of any brand names or types of cd's?
Thanks! :)

I can speak with a Mexican accent, infact they say i sound hispanic most of the time even thought i'm white and can only understand and barely speak spanish. I need to know the correct wording in Spanish for the phrase " Hello may i speak to..." I'm calling a girl, if that makes the difference in the vocabulary.

LOS MESES DEL AÑO

En enero hace frio,
En febrero también,
En marzo hace viento,
En abril estã bien.

En mayo hay las flores,
Y en junio el amor,
En julio vacaciones,
Y en agosto el calor.

En septiembre hay neblina.
En octubre el tronar,
Noviembre trae lluvia,
Y diciembre el nevar.

Please translate (tell me what this mean) and if you can try to explain to me how to say the words.

I'm doing an extra credit assignment, and I need to know jobs that would involve being able to speak spanish, like if you need to speak to get hired. I would love it if you could include some websites, and i you could give a short job description. Thanks! :)

I have taken Spanish classes in high school and in college. I know the basics, meaning I know quite a few words and could get by if I HAD to. My new years resolution is to become completely fluent. I plan on going to Argentina to visit my best friend (she had to move back because the government won't let her get her citizenship unless she moves back for a few years and then returns. Crazy and ridiculous, I know). Anyways, so I would like to be able to be fluent, be able to understand speech, and be able to speak it easily. What would be the best way to do this? Like I said, I know a lot of the basics and I don't really want to re-start at the beginning. I also don't have a lot of money either. Please don't suggest classes, because they either move too fast or too slow for me. Other than that, any tips appreciated, thanks!

I have bought the Idiot's guide to Spanish (complete crap), a bilingual dictionary, Spanish the Easy Way (by Barrons...its actually great)...

I have been making flashcards of the verbs and important nouns...and speaking aloud to myself...I also have been atempting to watch 'Family Guy' in spanish, but it seems to fast and difficult to get anything out of it. I study about an hour a day by myself.

What is the most effective way for me to learn...should I change my tactics...get a tutor...(there aren't any classes starting anytime soon at the Community College)....

ALSO what should I focus on learning...which tenses are most important and used the most...

What do you think is good book to buy to start studying Spanish?

I am asking for a BOOK

intermediate, but i can't think of anything to talk about, can anyone help me with that plz???and also i'd appreciate it if someone would like to write the whole thing for me ;)
